Anyone else feel like there has been even more dps moira’s in matches ever since ow2 has been released?

Please play the character before you whine about how a character who needs to do DPS to charge her heal is “DPSing.”
It’s not Overwatch 1, there is only one pure healer in the game and Mercy’s generally considered the weakest support in the game right now other than (maybe) Baptiste.

No its the fact anytime i see a moira in matches they will be primarly being a dps over a healer.

I play moira supp and i mostly go heal but also dmg so that my teammates can kill them fast or they get killed quick. i haven’t seen lots of dps moira. bc well those i have seen are always with the team either behind or next to them and do both dmg and heal
Self depreciating humor often isn’t funny, you don’t need to put yourself down like that. I’m sure you’ll get a team that backs you up some day.

When the moira has over 5k more damge than healing. Thats a dps moira.

Baptiste is A tier. Moira is like F tier. She HAS to do damage to heal which means she NEEDS an engagement to heal. She very slowly regens her primary heal but it can very easily be overwhelmed. Baptiste can hold down right click and achieve the same effect, no engagement required ever.

The thing is that most of the support players were bad at ow1 and don’t deserve their ranks, ez value role became equal with the others, therefore harder to play, and they can’t play hard heroes, so they choose the easiest ones. Dpsing or healing moira doesn’t matter, it is still a low skill floor hero that provides nothing but cringe in her team.
It probably happens because BP XP bonus is always up for Support. So with players wanting to grind XP, that includes the legions of DPS mains who just go ahead and pick the most DPS-like thing… go Moira and chase bad guys. Match quality is so bad right now unless you bring supports with you AND you make sure to peel for them.

I’ve seen more in my son’s games (Bronze) where the moira just does their own thing trying to kill people and not heal but even there it’s been rare. Maybe 1 dedicated to DPS every 15 or 20 games.

No, no, I get why you’re being defensive. I know the Moira hate is crazy and people have complained about this for years. I’ve defended the Moiras too.
But with the influx of new players and the way 5v5 gives easier access to targets, there actually has been an increase of “DPS Moiras.”
And by that I mean Moiras who will literally have like 8k damage and 2k heals. Not the pseudo-DPS Moiras that the forums love to complain about.
It’s weird. After hearing about the legend for years, I finally had one in a game last week, and now I see them quite often.
No hate to Moira players though. The vast, vast, majority still play her correctly. It’s just wild that this is happening so frequently now.

If Ana had to “DPS to charge her heal”, no one would care. It’s because Moira requires little to no skill and is mostly used to easily kill other players, and mostly supports.
Moiras often don’t care about healing.
Moira is yet another reason why it doesn’t feel great to play support in ow2.

Moira players who mainly do dps are always the more defensive ones when they get called out on it, it seems.

If you pay attention the Moira threads all attract the same people each time eventually and they behave the same and use the same talking points etc as if they are in a Discord group or something.
Keep a eye out in Moira threads as they stick out like a sore thumb.

What sucks about posts like this is it won’t make supports not do dps. The dev team will just see it and make Moira have no damage to protect herself.
This dev team sees problems and just ruins characters to make up for it rather than fixing other things. If a support player doesn’t support, pair them with other players who don’t want to help their team.
