More Blizzard scandals (It's really bad) -UPDATE NEW WALKOUT

Just put a golden retriever as the CEO instead.

Actually that’s not a bad idea objectively speaking…

Over the years, Mr. Kotick himself has been accused by several women of mistreatment both inside and outside the workplace, and in some instances has worked to settle the complaints quickly and quietly, according to people familiar with the incidents and documents reviewed by the Journal.

In 2006, one of his assistants complained that he had harassed her, including by threatening in a voice mail to have her killed, according to people familiar with the matter. He settled the matter out of court, the people said. The Activision spokeswoman said: “Mr. Kotick quickly apologized 16 years ago for the obviously hyperbolic and inappropriate voice mail, and he deeply regrets the exaggeration and tone in his voice mail to this day.”

In 2007, he was sued by the flight attendant on a private jet he co-owned. The flight attendant claimed the plane’s pilot had sexually harassed her, and, after she complained to the other owner, Mr. Kotick fired her. The defendants denied the allegations. In a separate action related to legal fees in the case, an arbitrator, citing what he said was sworn testimony, wrote that Mr. Kotick told the flight attendant and her attorneys, “I’m going to destroy you.” A spokesman for Mr. Kotick denied that he said that. In 2008, they settled by paying the attendant $200,000, according to the arbitrator’s decision. A spokesman for Mr. Kotick said he couldn’t have fired her in retaliation for complaining because she never complained directly to him.

Kotick is as good as gone after this.

i usually discuss this sort of thing my brother. about cancel culture and how it sucks but sometimes i think maybe it isnt such a bad thing after all. people should be held accountable for their actions, ESPECIALLY POWERFUL people and POLITICIANS. time to get new blood into power positions and i hope young people and the new generation will be better than the old

this coming from an old guy. sorry we messed up everything lol

Jesus Christ this is ascending beyond the level of meme at this point

Cancel culture is horrible. It’s a mob of angry people believing dodgy evidence and bloodlust.

This is not cancel culture. This called breaking the law.

Wooden shoes go up the stairs (greatest and silent), silk shoes go down the stairs (Boomer and Gen X).

Everyone is an individual, we’re not a collective and the demographic groups you are part of don’t truly represent you.

However, this trend of a generation group being builders, and the next group being destroyers is an observation philosophers made centuries ago.

yea but bringing light or attention to the matter is good. like its crazy how long ago that was and nothing was done about it. seems like people are not taking it anymore. powerful and rich shouldnt be able to step all over everyone. especially vunerable people like workers, entry level people and women

I’d take it a step further and put the spotlight on the toxic status quo.

warcraft forums, both EU and America are now talking about it. no turning back now bois

Pretty sure gamers at large have wanted this guy “cancelled” for more than ten years after his infamous “culture of thrift” quote:

He’s the reason COD turned into the pay-me-quarterly thing that it is, which in turn led to EA attempting to directly compete by straight copying their business model for Battlefield. Both are now known for buying up studios, squeezing profits, then shutting them down. He makes massive sums while they layoff workers, etc.

But sure, “cancel culture.”

Bobby will be removed from his position in the very near future. 100% mark my words. It’s a slippery slope, and he’s been sliding for a while now.

The former is a rumor and the latter is pure speculation based on a job listing. there is literally no evidence that “OW mobile is dumbing down OW2” in any way.

I really suggest you stop watching all the clickbaity videos and twitter posts. You tend to take everything people say at face value and 99/100 times it’s false or inaccurate.

The 2nd time I’ve had to reference this and more then likely won’t be the last. By the time this is over there might not be a company left.

Just a couple weeks after their earnings report too. I don’t think there’s a PR company out there that can help them now.

lmao

no, the wealthy like Mr. Bobby “Frequent Epstein Jet Flyer” Kotick have always played by a different set of rules and double standards than us plebs

he’s not going anywhere, he’ll just shrug and laugh it off

EDIT: What do you know, the Board affirms it’s support for him.

Surely this old, rich, good ole’ boy will get the consequences he deserves! LOL

And how do you do that when it’s Blizz’s IP? That’s like saying Mario should leave Nintendo…

They can leave.

Alt f4 out of there.

Flabbergasted.

It’s honestly hard to tell any more.
