I am better with at aiming with a 60hz monitor but when I switched over to 144hz the 1st time, it was harder for me to aim because of how smooth it was. It was as too smooth for me so I switched back to 60hz. I just want to know if I should use practice my aim with 144hz or just stick with 60hz. I am asking this because 144hz monitors are being used more than any other and I just want to make sure I’m not as outdated.
Dude, use the 144.
Just give it a week, you’ll feel very comfortable.
what’s your sens at. It could just be you need more practice with your muscle memory.
Genji I’m not too worried about but for widow, I use about 32 zoom sens and 800 dpi. I think I’m already getting used to it. Maybe a couple lire days and I should be good. Thanks for the help!!
Is your frame rate able to consistantly stay above 144fps? If not it will make it much harder. It might also help to lock the FPS to the monitor refresh rate to make it consistant.
Also make sure vsync is not enabled. It adds input lag and will be much more noticable at 144htz. To add to this make sure you only play in full screen mode and not any of the windowed modes as will force vsync.
You should lower your mouse sensitivity a little.
Your mouse reacts faster due to the higher refresh rate.
Please don’t spread misinformation. The mouse reacts the same whether it’s 30hz or 144hz for your monitor. The difference is how fast it’ll update onto the monitor. Also it’s always better to have more fps than the monitor refresh rate so that the most recent frame is sent to the monitor. At 144hz there’s practically no screen tearing that you can perceive so always have vsync off.
Keep playing with 144 for a week and then switch back to 60. I guarantee the latter will both look and feel terrible to you, and you’ll switch back to 144 immediately.
