Moira's Right click Range

It’s ridiculous. Terrible design.

Would like to see heroes with some complexity and that reward skill, instead of the powercreep method. Where every new character released is boosted and requires no skill but is played 85%+.

Moira requires no skill?

You’re just trolling now.

Nothing to see here folks. Just a Sombra main complaining about something that counters Sombra.

Playing her reminds me of Zen, except you have mobility and don’t have to aim.
Guess she counters Lucio and Zen, considering I don’t see em anymore.

It is true. But most of the people who disagree never encountered a good moria or play as her.
The range of a support of this level is crazy. Even poor Pharah whom height should be advantage over support heroes is out played.

She heals greatly, can deal dmg to recharge her healing, able to quickly run away from a fight or regroup, but AS MERCY…she attacks rather than heal.

I’ve been saying Moria was OP since she was introduced but everyone was too busy complaining about Junk’s mines. You gots to deal with her now. Yolo

Moira counters Sombra? Nice joke lol

Obviously you wouldn’t pick Moira to specifically counter Sombra, but with the support heroes we have, I believe Moira has the best chance of surviving. Fading mid-hack is usually enough to either cause her to relocate or swap targets long enough to pressure her, or if you do get hacked, she can fight back/survive long enough until the team comes to assist.

Moira can at least give Sombra some problems. It’s not like Zen, who can’t do much against Sombra.

oh look. another thread crying about 50 dps and a range that is surpassed by about 16 other characters.

If you didn’t have to aim with her, they wouldn’t track her accuracy as a stat. You can even visualize how big the lockon hitbox is for her! just set any reticle to circle and increase the size to 75 and bang, that’s moira’s “no aim”. Plz compare to winston or sym, who actually don’t have to aim. Their hitbox is the whole screen.

Why are you talking about her resource management as though it were a strength of hers lol she has to damage to heal.

Moira ain’t OP people just don’t know how to play against her.

She has one of the best escapes in the game, on one of the fastest cooldowns. Compared to the other supports it’s a godly reposition.

I don’t really care about the no aim aspect, but the range is just plain silly.

as long as guardian angel is a thing, no mobility cooldown is too short.

Moira’s is way better though, guardian angel is predictable and requires your teammates. Moira’s is invulnerability and you get to pick where to re-position to.

if your dps’ ttk is more than 6 seconds on a person without an escape, they’re not fulfilling their role.

dva’s boosters are a shorter cooldown, more controllable, last longer, and she can shoot and/or DM while using it. are they OP too?

People: Moira requires no skill

Others: she requires tons of it!

Reality: well yes she needs to have proper timing on when to heal/damage orb, be careful with her healing so she won’t run out… but that’s about it. And that’s something you can say about everyone in the game. That they require game sense and good timing of their abilities.

But what is meant and what those “others” seem to not hear or care about is she requires little mechanical skill vs the reward she gives.

“She needs to replenish her heals”. Yes, but even so she outheals the other healers easily.

“She’s low damage”. Yes (if we ignore damage orb, which tbf we probably should) but she has long range and a soft aim. Meaning it’s not hard for her to hit someone and hit them consistently. She outdamages all supports but Zen, and she’s not that far behind him.

Also her need of game sense and ult timing is highly forgiving. Fade is a great get away ability on a relatively short cooldown. It’s like Wraith but they can’t see where you went and on a shorter cooldown.

Her self heal is pretty insane. She can outheal just by her right click what the majority of players can do to her in return. She gets ult very fast which also heals her. And her orbs again heal her.

So yes she’s not a no skill hero. She’s just capable of doing a lot vs the skill she requires.

Ana: requires high aim and while her abilities are amazing they are on high cool downs. No escape abilities, “self heal” on a long cool down.

Lucio: one of the hardest to aim guns in the game. Boop is nice on low cool down, but requires some risk by having to get in close. To get the most use out of him requires good use of his wall riding (though once managed should have good survivability)

Mercy: strong heals and if you’re good at it (you can keep los of decently spaced out team) has a great escape ability on low cool down. But still team reliant. Basically a pure heal bot (can’t heal/damage at once)

Zen: low heals. Great damage, but does require aim to be of effect.

If it was any shorter she would never be able to charge her heal meter. I think if anything the cooldown on her ultimate is really low.

Ehhhh… true but maybe we need to look more than just the range.

Pull back the range. Either increase her General heal pool, how fast it recharges on its own, or how fast it recharges from damage dealt.

If her range was nerfed she’d feel less broke in her damage. Also feel less broken with the amount of self healing she can manage. Help give an argument that her fade ability is fine too, for then it would seem less a “get out of jail free card” or “be a flanking idiot” ability and more of a “she needs it to get close enough often times to replenish her heals due to range.
