⭐ [ Moira's orb isn't RNG - Proof Inside ]

The purpose of this thread is to disprove the myth that it’s RNG. Nothing else.

RNG stands for random number generator.

There’s no RNG involved in moira orb if I shoot it slightly to the left instead of right.

Aiming my reticle in different spot doesn’t make orb bounce rng, just like it doesn’t make sigma spheres or junkrat bombs rng.

They work on the exact same principle and mechanics. Moira orb isn’t special.

When people say random they mean you don’t know how the orb will bounce.

Before you throw the first orb you don’t know the exact trajectory after each bounce and if you don’t keep your crosshair still, you are most likely unable to reproduce the same bounces, which makes the whole thing “random.”

show us a video of you on a map walking out of spawn throwing an orb and hitting a widow/ high ground perch on the other side of the map. that should be entirely possible if the orb is not random.

I’ve proven it’s not fake. How exactly are you saying I faked the video?

I said I’ll record it in other spots later. I can’t right now.

The amount of people who think it’s random is honestly hilarious. And pretty sad.

Just because you don’t understand math and angles, doesn’t mean it’s random. It just means you’re too stupid to understand simple math.

the problem is that people seem to think ‘unpredictable’ is the same as ‘Random,’ which it isn’t.

ok.
lets say its not rng, it’s also not a lock mechanic, she still needs no aim, and orb is based on luck

Everybody knows the bounce isn’t random.
That doesn’t mean you had 500 iq when you got a kill after the 10th bounce with it.

It doesn’t matter. What he and others mean that the movement of the ball is totally unpredictable and thus you cannot get more gain out of it if you are better skilled controlling it.

But that is neither true. You can quite well predict and control where the ball bounces to. Of course you will not be able to predict where it will bounce the 5th and 6th time etc.

Even best billard players in the world do not predict more than 3 or 4 bounces partially reliable.

Though, you have to learn the real angles of some surfaces on the maps that seems by vision a bit different than they actually are for the geometry bouncing effect.

Entirely possible, it just has to be practiced since the target is out of line of sight and orb has to be bounced more than once. But we got darwin’s tools for that kind of stuff.

But just because humans aren’t supercomputers and we can’t calculate the exact trajectory of a multiple times bouncing orb on jagged surfaces doesn’t mean it’s rng.

sure so this guy calculated where the orb end at its final destination? no? Well i guesss its random then.

that is not what i said. i want it from spawn. bouncing around the map and hitting and exact point. not throw it in the general direction and it arriving in the general area

Then you go do that, nothing is stopping you from hitting a custom game. It should be fairly simple to execute with just zero cooldowns enabled.

See, I don’t need to prove to myself or to anybody else that the orb’s are supposedly rng. I know better than that. =p

Go record something and prove me wrong buddy.

The point you’re trying to make me prove is unrelated to the post I made. You want me to show you if I can accurately use my orb to reach a certain spot in the map, which is something else entirely, not whether the orb’s bounces are randomnized.

The point of my post is to disprove the misinformation that it’s RNG. Nothing more, nothing else.

You can’t know that for sure. This post is for those that truly think so or aren’t sure.

It does. It’s the entire point of the thread. To prove whether it is or not truly RNG is the main and only reason this was created. It is only to help the truly misinformed, not those that are playing with words.

“Die mad about it” means you will live all your days being perpetually angry about the wicked RNG Moira ball and her self heals until you die of old age. So technically, I’m telling you to stay bitter about it, forever and ever until you expire, of natural causes, still somehow angry over a character you should have learned to kill ages ago.

Or people have no idea what RNG even stands for.

Just did this myself on kings row. Sorta just picked a random spot, so because of this the orb isn’t visible behind me. But it ALWAYS goes to the same place in this video, which is at the top of the screen. It may have been in VERY SLIGHTLY different places at the top of this screen, this is just me not having a steady enough hand to actually throw the orb, my bad. But its good enough.

I mean, to be fair this is a bad example because you can. This is why people AD strafe in randomized patterns because they can predict how the widow will react to their movements. It’s the same logic used when trying to aim projectiles.

Three more videos as proof. Different places, both orbs to show it’s not on repeat.

Are these fake, too?
