I am DONE with moira being literally the best at any rank except top 500 in every meta

Season 16, 0 hours on moira - mostly offtank and sombra
Season 17, 0 hours of moira - mostly roadhog 1 trick
Season 18 - 2 hours of moira and I easily got to ALMOST 3.8 as support
Why can i do this? I am a tank player and shouldnt be this high on support at all, forget being high rated… i am at 71% winrate (i was higher than this but i lost my last game because of a leaver) in the top 1% of the ranks on a character i have barely played… wtf? it feels like i am cheating just to climb it makes me feel nasty and dirty playing moira
Why is this hero so easy to play and so easy to get ult with? i dont get it…
i have been very salty since her release and its insane why this hero has not been nerfed… at least change her stupid moira orb so she can stop saving her entire team every 20 seconds with that ult
Maybe you’re just good at Moira? You do realize that if you have good game sense that alone plays a major role in your SR. Skills from one role applies to another. They really do. In this case, your SR should be similar across all three positions, because mine certainly were.
There’s no such thing as a Master DPS, a Silver Tank, and a Plat Healer. There just isn’t.
She’s not the best in every meta. She was being considered for a buff not too long ago and people called her trash. She just does well in double shield because people clump together making it easier to get value out of her heal and she can survive doomfist with fade. Outside of double shield she can’t compete with the other healers utility i.e things like rez and nade.
so am i also good at moira? was i just good at moira before i started playing her? i climbed 800sr just playing moira buddy. u need the brain usage of a jelly fish to climb with moira, literally the most busted easiest hero in the game which needs a rework
I doubt this claim honestly. So you were a gold support before and now a diamond? You believe Moira is so OP that she grants a Goldilocks the ability to stay in higher tiers where DPS players aren’t 1v1’d by Moira? No.
Moira is simple to play, but she still has a right and wrong way to be used.
She has literally been unchanged, and not too long ago was considered an awful support that needed a buff.
Maybe so. You climbed with her more because you couldn’t use the other supports to that level. I’m not seeing the issue here?
If a Reaper is Grandmaster, does he not deserve that rank the same way a Widowmaker does? Reaper is pretty face roll too as far as DPS goes.
Bottom Line: If you can actively stay in a tier with a hero, then you are good enough with that hero to play in that tier. Let’s not pretend that anyone who plays Moira ends up in Diamond+ because they do not. I’ve played enough games with my friends who are SIlver/Gold to see how bad Moira’s can be who do nothing for teams and lose many games.
OP is Masters in every role. Honestly, the game will put you within similar tiers initially anyway. A Master Tank/DPS is not going to be some Silver Support by no means, but if they’re really not that great at support, they’ll drop.
And while a player with minimum time on a hero may not be as good as those who do have a lot of time, people in high tiers have a general idea of how heroes should be played. Moira being on the simpler side of things… it’s not that difficult to figure out her basic functions and pick up on them.
Let’s not pretend as if all Moira’s reach Diamond+, because they don’t. There’s many awful Moira’s who do nothing for their team all game.
Not from a kit standpoint. They struggle with the fact that Overwatch is a team game where kills only matter at select times to achieve the objective.
I know two people who were very good at CoD, very good at killing with 76 especially, but were lucky to achieve higher than Platinum because the kills they got didn’t count and they were never with their team to make use of those kills. They also used Ultimate at incorrect times. Yes they killed people, but not at any time when their team could actually progress and benefit.
Typical FPS players had to learn the fundamentals of Overwatch. Or they were like every other DPS who was way beyond their team, doing nothing much of use. They miss the part where kills only facilitate the objective. The amount really doesn’t matter.
you aing going to be that good with any other supports considering the way they deal with the enemy team is different and decisions making and positioning changes depending on your defensive abilities and mobility.
