I don’t wanna be that kinda guy that says “oh this hero is OP, oh that hero is OP” but I mean…I just feel like Moira’s output damage is unbalanced. I mean her damage ball deals 200 damage if it all hits, which is enough to kill most squishy’s in one go. Then not to mention if she’s beaming you down with her death beam as well as the ball, she can deal insane damage for a support hero. My last issue with Moira is that the range on that death beam is ridiculous. I mean, I feel like it deserves to be longer range than Symmetra’s portal gun, but not as much reach of a sniper.
Overall I’m not saying she deserves to be nerfed like crazy but I definitely think she needs re balancing.
What I would personally do is either reduce the duration of the damage ball, so it’ll still do the same amount of damage, but for only up to 100 maximum. If not a reduction in duration then I would reduce the overall damage of the ball overtime so it would take longer to deal 200 damage.
With regards to the range of her biotic grasp, 21 meters? really? like wow. That’s an insane 14 meters increase of Symmetras portal gun. I would personally reduce the range of the biotic grasp to a maximum of 14 meters. I mean I’m not saying she should be nerfed to the point where she is underpowered, but 21 meters is a bit stupid for a support hero with a beam based attack.
Given that she doesn’t even have to aim, it’s insane and totally wrong, imo. She also has vampiric effect on the right click with ridiculous range. Yea, not op at all.
If you’re a character that isn’t very fast and doesn’t have any escape abilities, and if you are as Galahad says in a small room, then yeah it’s hard to escape it. Obviously if you’re a self healer or someone with escape abilities like Genji, Reaper, Mei, Soldier etc then it’s easier to avoid, but if you’re say Hanzo, Mcree, Ana or Widow, it’s a little harder especially if their abilities are on cooldown
You make good arguments, but I’m saying in general, her output damage is too high. I mean say for example I’m with my team, as is Moira, and you happen to be her target, and I’m say Mcree, yes I understand it will depend on my ability to actually aim and aim well, but by the time I’ve popped off maybe 2 or 3 shots I’m probably already dead. Not to mention she heals as she damages. So if she throws her damage orb at you and is death beaming you and I’m just popping off shots, then meh.
I do know a few counters to her of course, DVA and RH being 2 of them. Pharah I guess is another, but if you fly too low then that OP range will get ya
i sttoped to take seriously this thread with those posts, you have 37 mins total moira playtime, ofc you dont know how moira works at all, her beam isnt similar to sym’s hard lock, you have to aim, 30 hp self heal / sec … SO OP… when any dps can outdamage her with a decent aim and brains, you feel sniped with moira’s range? lol… this forums never cease to amaze me… basically is " this hero killed me, that means she is op, nerf her cuz she ruined my fun "

Agreed. I think the damage ball is the problematic ability. It’s cheap and spammy AF, it’s often unavoidable, and it makes her preposterously strong 1v1. Needs deleted.
It’s an especial kick in the nuts for Ana, who, after getting her last role in the game taken by Moira, has to take spam damage from an orb she left randomly bouncing around, after she just used a biotic grenade on a 10 second cooldown to partially heal herself, and with absolutely mo means of escape. It’s totally egregious.

I’m saying for a support hero she does too much damage. If the ball did 100 damage overall instead of 200 I’d be fine with that. If her range from her beam was reduced from 21 to a maximum of say 14/15 I’d be fine with that. The damage of the beam I can live with, it’s just when combined with her ball, it’s a little hard to avoid if you’re a low mobility hero.
Moira’s damage ball and her range are perfectly fine. I don’t think Moira is OP, if and this is a very big if she is overtuned the only culprits would be her very generous self healing from biotic grasp or her healing output since on average it’s much higher than all the other healers.
If people truly think Moira is too strong they’re looking at the wrong places.
