Moira orbs should disappear after she’s killed

Title. It honestly sucks to come out of a duel against a Moira and have her ball loop back around and snipe you just when you’re about to move out.

This wouldn’t break Moira she’d still be really good and balanced, this is just something that I think should have been in place since her release.

Because that is how stuff works for the rest of the cast right?

Honestly, this makes sense. No other support can continue healing or damaging after death. Moira being able to is just one thing that is leading to her domination of the support class.

So all projectiles should disappear after someone dies their right? Or nanoboost should disappear after Ana dies? Should Torb turret go away when he dies? If the answer is no, then why should Moira?

It’s how Zen’s orbs work.
Ana’s Nano doesn’t quite count, considering it’s an ultimate.

And it does if he’s presently building it, if it’s already established, it stays.

No other projectile in this game has the potential to loop right back around you and kill you now does it? Once you dodge every other projectile does it hit a U turn and kill you from behind?

Those are debuffs. Any projectile fired, barring ultimates for “balancing” reasons, stay out.

Do JR’s bombs disappear on death?

D.Va self destruct disappears after baby D.Va dies?

Symmetra turrets disappear after she dies?

Torb turrets disappear after he dies?

Pharah rocket disappears after Pharah dies?

Soldier Helix Rocket disappears after Soldier dies?

Actually, any projectile disappears after the player dies?

Neither does Moira’s. It can bounce off a wall, not U-turn.

Once again none of those projectiles can loop back around and kill you once you dodge/bypass those they can’t harm you.

Moira orbs however can net kills five seconds after she’s been killed.

Sounds like a positioning problem. Not a balance problem

What? If I kill a Moira in a tight room and her orb immediately wall bounces and comes after me how is that a positioning problem? Those orbs aren’t slow in the slightest.

So approach Moira how you would approach JR. Expect trouble in a tight room if you do not have an escape plan

Lol you can’t apply a different character to Moira and expect the same result. JR bombs fly in a linear fashion and that’s his only way of fire besides mines.

Moira also has a beam that can poke you from long distance, and her orb is a great finisher. It’s not fair to other supports or characters dueling her that even in death she can get lucky and net a kill or two or continue healing while she’s waiting to respond. A change to this won’t hurt Moira in the slightest, unless you’re that Moira who dies 50 times a game and relies on damage orbs the whole match.

Every other healer is useless if they die, with the exception of Ana basically, though her stuff is basically just ongoing, very temporary effects.

Why does Moira get to be the special child? There are reasons she’s been steadily dominating the support class. Her ability to survive already exceeds basically every other support. She has healing and damage abilities that persist even if someone knocks her down. Her healing is mild AoE and has a slight stagger before healing actually stops after she lets go of the heal beam. She reks flankers and is the bane of any squishy that doesn’t have at least decent aim. Her attack heals her, in a pinch she can heal with her own orb, and she can fade to reposition and get the advantage in a fight. Her ult is the only support ult that both damages and heals in a major way.

She shouldn’t be treated like every other hero. She has a role to fill, and being granted an advantage over all others in that role means a change needs to be made either to everyone else, or her. I’m avoiding saying she needs to be nerfed, but as skill levels increase with her, aspects of her kit are becoming problem areas as a support hero.

Junkrat and D.va don’t take self damage from some explosive abilities, even though Pharah and Soldier still do. The game isn’t 100% consistant as it is.

Exactly. I actually think she’s balanced imo just needs some tuning so that she truly doesn’t dominate the support meta and then get a crippling nerf down the line ala Ana.

And a start to that tuning is what i suggested, people continue to bring up other projectiles but like I said once you dodge something like a helix rocket it doesn’t bounce off a wall and fly back at you. Moira orbs do and it’s frustrating to kill a Moira and have her orb pull a suicide dive on you.

I disagree. Lots of other heroes have things that linger after death that can kill you if you just run after them without the right positioning.

Other things that can kill after death: you have to pretty much choose to move in the direction of death.

Moira orb that can kill after death: oh you didn’t predict the trajectory correctly so you die.

Unless you’re a tank, you should never be in a tight room with Moira, and if you are a tank, then her orb won’t be a problem for you

Positioning problem
