Moira orb changes are really cool

Happy that it’s a skill shot and it doesn’t bounce around the map for 10 seconds anymore, also makes it easier for flankers to deal with her and forces her to use heal orb if she wants to deal with them consistently. Still not sure about the fade.

I understand what they went for with the orb but it just feels so weird. now 1v1ing flankers will be harder most likely since the orb is pretty difficult to stick. id be cool with it if they hadnt nerfed her dmg in a previous patch tbh

Throwing heal orb in a 1v1 is still much better.

yeah but it takes like 4~5 seconds for you to kill said flanker which by the time they’ll just leave for a healthpack lol. i guess its time to scream for help like mercy

well you can still win if you hit the skillshot which is more in line with other supports you still have to heal orb if you’re not confident

meh still dont like it. ppl dont come to moira for her aim requirement, i like her new fade and hopefully it stays for real this time but that ball has to go

I kinda like the idea of her as kinda Reinhardt. If damage orb is better than healing orb in a duel one day healing orb would get less value but be easier. When u get to higher ranks u need to land the damage orb skillshot

So I take if you will be a new Moira main? lol

no, but i like the direction they’re taking her

Eh its really difficult to pull off, it does one thing for sure though; it’ll heavily discourage DPS moira

Happy they are reinforcing the shield meta by the orb not penetrating them? Amazing thought process there. Happy that Moira can’t offensively pressure the enemy team to assist with a more forward posture for the team? Get ready for her to never again secure the kills that were on the brink of dying. Good logic. She will never again throw a purple orb with these changes. Happy that Moira has a nerf to her mobility and will get picked off more? Happy she will be played less now?
Happy she will be strictly defensive healing only like a one dimensional mercy with no damage boost?

Anyone that thinks these changes are even remotely fun, make any sort of sense are abviously people that done actually play her.

Getting picked off by a random orb doesn’t exist. Making you play closer to your team and securing the odd kills on the verge of death is where she shines. She is literally going to ONLY heal with these changes which wether you chose to see it or not, will have ripple effects to the comps at lower ellos.

I’m addition to that it is NOT FUN. 150 hour main. 30 hours on experimental experience with the changes. They are TRASH.

I hope they also nerf the annoying ultimate. Maybe remove the speed increase.

It’s really cool how it can’t go through shields, and even if the Moira skillshots it in there with its one bounce it is immediately broken by any sneeze of a shield.

Firstly, it has a duration of 7 seconds.

Second, the ability as is doesn’t do much, other than gain Moira ult charge or letting her duel flankers (the heroes she’s supposed to keep in check)

And finally, no this reworked orb is terrible.

the prob is that healing orb is already the best choice for moira to deal and 1v1 flankers

I’m all for changes that makes Moira players use more effort.

My problem is that they didn’t apply this change to both orbs and that it takes away the unique skill of perfectly bouncing orbs around to maximize their effectiveness.

I’m no Moira main but it just feels super wrong tbh like if they want to make the orb harder to bounce optimally that’s fine but the experimental orb makes Moira feel both unintuitive and like she’s lost a core part of her required skillset

Sorta like if McCree suddenly was all about building charge like Zarya instead of aiming

oh noes a healer healing? gasp!

At least change the animation for it. Its so ugly rn

I’m all for changes that makes Moira players use more effort but make moira a better hero with more carry potential*

here I fixed it for ya
