Remember before Moira’s December Patch?
We (the low ranks player) use Moira to help our team with more healing.
Sometimes we see a Moira DPS, but in the most games, when our team need more heal, Moira helps.
Now… Moira is the Best DPS in the game.
She doo more damage, and kills more than Soldier.

Ranking good in overwatch is about as indicative of talent as winning the lottery.

Saying Moira’s dmg is op is like saying Symm or Sombra are op lol. It’s 2020 improve for once and you wont have a problem

she already does laughable damage unless it’s her vs a squishy in an enclosed space with her damage orb 1v1 and you soak her entire orb… if you nerf her damage anymore she’ll basically be licking your character with no actual damage being done.
what? getting the last hit in on an enemy =/= more damage.
Moira is unfortunately a skill check for a lot of heroes. She doesn’t deal a colossal amount of damage very quickly, but she’s thin and can be difficult to hit if she’s strafing back and forth.
If you’re having trouble dealing with her, I recommend using someone with 250 hp, CC, a self-heal, or someone who outranges her. Reaper (has wraith, life steal, 250hp), Mei (CC, self-heal, 250 hp), Soldier (self heal and burst damage), and McCree (CC, bursty alt-fire) shouldn’t have an overly hard time challenging her if you outplay her.
Fade is also on a long enough cooldown that you can punish her if she misuses it. Bait it out and then use your CC or gun her down. There are plenty of workshop modes out there too that can help you practice your aim against targets that are strafing, so I recommend using those to help you sharpen your aim as well.

Effective summary. I would say this is the ideal way to deal with Moira.
I’d add that tanks are fairly strong against her in lower ranks: if you get a Moira who’s dpsing your team, tanks have high health pools to shrug the damage off and can just swing/shoot/hook/chase down. Dva is the most effective against her, but really just about any tank is strong in the 1v1 matchup with Moira.

More skill-based at low rank? Players can make the game more “skill-based” by climbing. If they can’t do that, they don’t need the game to be more skill-based.

Playing moira.
0 effort fighting her as her A-D spam vs my standing still holding RMB is the same dmg.
You hard counter her by healing.
I always go moira to counter the moira.
Its easy and she can’t beat herself, healing to high, dmg to low.
No need to duel her as dps unless you know you destroy her.
Its much more easy to just deny her any value.

Any character in lower ranks can be abused because people don’t have the mechanics to counter them usually.
Should we nerf the entire roster then? no.

Hope you know I’m just pulling your chain. I see Moira POTGs constantly in QP, they’re a constant complaint from the groups I follow who actual play comp. But forum Moira is way better than in game Moira. That girl’s just evil.
