[Moira] How I'd fix Necro Orb

Moira

Necrosis Orb

  • Radius reduced to 2m, down from 3m
  • Replace the AOE damage and direct damage with a singular DoT of 50dps for the duration
  • Reduce the duration to 3sec
  • Reduce the anti-damage effect to -40%, down from -75%
  • And then drop the cooldown to about 12sec

Then with any remaining “power budget” revert some of the nerfs to the rest of her equipment.

I feel like with this change it will litterly be a worse version of sleep if u think about it.

Maybe not all those changes but I do want less damage reduction for shorter cooldown.

75% just breaks so many things. She can survive dva ult, junk, etc

It already is a worse version of sleep. Sleep is a hard 5 sec CC still. You either get woke up, or get instant killed.

Good luck actually timing and hitting it perfectly to survive Dva Ult or Junk tire. Both of those can be thrown from behind cover and hitting the mech or tire does nothing.

I feel like if you hit the tiniest hit box in the game while shes most of the time flying mid air i feel lime you deserve that reward lol especially compared to just placing a immortalility field down which basically achieves the same result

Agreed. Make it 30% for tanks, 50% for DPS/supports

Pharah has almost the same hitbox size as McCree or Reaper…

I was talking about dva while shes dva bombing since 99% of the time dvas fly mid air while bombing.Pharahs thick asf lol

Ah

Kinda concerned with how strong this would be versus ults like Reaper or Pharah or McCree. Where they basically lose all mobility.

Personally I’d like to see how it would be with single target, small dot, cut the cd and damage reduction in half, and put a slow on it.

Sleep and immortalility field accomplishes this already but better whats the main issue???

Partially the issue is similar to SingleBarrier versus DoubleBarrier.

My man, nobody cares about your solution if we can’t agree on the problem.

If you run both moira ana it wont work.its similar to like ana bap combo 2 strong asf supports but if ran together its not to good. If thats what you were hinting at.

Why would Ana/Moira be bad?

Usually the flaw of two main healers is a lack of Ult counters.

But clearly that’s not the issue here.

Thats not entirely true most of the time the problem with both main healers is that it Really freaks up the ult economy the healing output is great but they always interfere with eachother at the same time such as the building of ult charge in battle.

Yeah but that takes more thought than I’m up for right now with the contextual stuff.

The short of it is that Moira with only 50dps is wimpy damage that can’t even outdamage a Mercy pocket, and that’s gonna make a lot of bloodthirsty Supports just not play Support at all, such impacts queue times.

Then you just got the issue where 75% anti-damage is just so ridiculously strong for defence. Where you can tank a D.va bomb or survive through a nearby Pharah Ult with a little dodging.

So you’d think it would make sense to put the damage back, then scale back for how anti-damage there is.

Which isn’t that big a deal since both sleep dart and necro aren’t ultimates.

Dunno, those “fix” feels bit bad.

I would rather keep aoe or increase it, keep the damage reduction and mess with duration/cooldown and overall damage like:

70-75% damage reduction, 3-4m radius, 1-5 damage to all targets instead of direct hit, 2-4 sec and cooldown like 10-15 cooldown

The ability has purpose and meaning, most of supports have abilities to actually give utility for them and for the team.

If they think her damage is low just bump it up to 55dmg/s. One thing I could say is that I would prefer as ult, but because ults aren’t exactly too frequent I would say a bad pick as ult. Her ult itself could use some love tho.

Moira needs to have her ult charge checked. Most of the strength of moira comes from high healing output, they’re shifting it, could be a good time to revisit fade function too and slightly pump her base ms.

Her ult isn’t exactly compatible with the current state, maybe turning it an ability with some other perks could do the trick like “sentry mode from bastion” a temp ult. Could be fun see fade as ult with longer duration or different effect like ethereal effect negating all damage for like 1-2 sec in a huge aoe.

They can do several stuff to address her huge healing output which weren’t compatible with their path on the game. Necro orb tbh could be a bit more forgiving on it’s AOE and have less damage or the inverse more damage but less AOE.

Nade, necro orb, lamp, lucio’s ult, zen’s ult, mercy rez are abilities with same perks around it, negating the value of the opposite team in some way or another. Some are ults others are abilities, brig had stun/flail for that I expect some revisit on her on that regard.

I like the direction of moira tbh, the OW1 moira doesn’t have much space on OW2, I would say brig also needs to have some revisit. Bap some tune down his damage and ana most likely a bit more cooldowns on some abilities or less duration on it to avoid too much cooldowns.

Healing+ultility would define really well supports and could also give them tools to “manage” the current high stream of offense heroes. Which I think they eventually would divide damage on Offense/defense again until sort the role out or just actually create an identity like they done on tanks and are doing on supports.

Moira has several paths to take, fade can be useful for several stuff or just her mobility tool. Her healing were needed to be decreased, her lethality never was high anyways,

I really don’t think necro orb is the issue, 75% I think is a good way to make her attractive as support. Even more when OW2 are more about duels of 2-5 characters on about 2-3 spots on the map.
