I came to look at the forums after a while of not doing so, and I can’t tell you how many threads I’ve seen demanding these changes on Moira, When she isn’t even broken.
People complain about her damage, but I think what people are neglecting about her damage, is that if you have some random moira in a QP game… in a high level comp game, who is behind enemy lines trying to 1v1 a soldier, that means that the other 5 players have lost their main healer, Moira has very consistent, and nice healing for her team, ESPECIALLY tanks, I doubt in high level player, or even a casual level of play Moira’s are doing that regularly, because it will mean the loss of a teamfight in most cases.
Her ultimate, I have seen alot of people complain about how frequently she obtains it but really all I have to say about that is, She has the smallest impact ult in the game. It doesn’t do much damage, or healing, its more of an assist tools, and CANNOT win team fights by itself, Tracer gets her ultimate VERY quickly, but we do not find it busted, in fact Tracer is one of the most balanced characters we have in the game currently. Moira’s is much easier to obtain than tracers, but at the cost that it has a much smaller impact.
In conclusion, guys, I do not want another change deemed by the community to happen because of a few forum poster’s opinions. thats why we had Roadhog ruined for months, thats why we had Doomfist ruined for months, Healers like ana not see the light of day for a while. IF anything is strong about moira, its her shift ability, and maybe she needs a tweak to that so she can be punished more frequently for positioning but. Moira is one of the most balanced heroes we have had on release. Actually, I take that back, SHE IS the most balanced we have gotten on release. Don’t bring this character down, how about we focus on buffing characters that deserve it first, maybe tweak some of the other supports so they are more viable, <3
Seriously, if you are a support that hates moira, call for support buffs not moira nerfs. If you are dps that hates moira, swap off flanker and play someone that can take her (Pharah, mccree, doomfist(sorta, his only problems dealing with moira are problems he has with everything but if you are good at him he’s a good moira counter with that punch), widow, hanzo, sombra) And if you are a tank that hates moira… well, I don’t believe you exist because friendly moira saves tanks and they can easily deal with opposing moira’s.
Tbh man, In this game you make character swaps to counter SEVERAL Things within this game, there is a pharah shredding your team? and you have tracer and genji? along with hog and orisa? Maybe you should get a mccree/soldier, and swap the hog for a Dva, I do not understand how there is counterplay, for a solid hunk of the cast, but as soon as a support may need counterplay, OCCASIONALLY. then its deemed overpowered. its rough.
It can potentially outheal his damage during ult but at the same time he can just swap targets to get a free kill, so I see where he’s headed with this. Genji’s ult has little to no proper counters other than things that take twice as long to charge than it, or a good Ana Sleepdart.
Genji’s ult, in the proper competitive setting, has the capability to team wipe. Especially when your team has a zarya, and or ana, to assist you, Moira’s ult, cannot counter genji’s Dragonblade, it may delay the kill by a swing, on one singular target, but thats all I got man, maybe she can track genji while he is jumping around like a monkey, but then again, so can soldier, and zarya, and half the cast. LMAO
Just had it in a quickplay game today, I was playing genji, ulted and jumped on a dva. Moira used her ult on her and I was doing nothing against her, maybe 10 damage per second or something but not more.
My guy we are talking about a competitive setting where realistically your team is KINDA at least on the same page, a hero shouldn’t have their ult called too strong, or a hero shouldn’t be changed based on QP results, imo
Yeah no it only kills any dps / healer in the backlines at a bazillion range.
If you think her ult is low impact look at mercy right now

If you still think she has the lowest impact ult then you play her wrong and maybe shouldn’t post that opinion
A: Why were you wasting dragonblade on the beefy tank and not the supports
B: When the support ulted to keep said tank alive, why did you not IMMEDIATELY switch to her, as she is very obvious at that point, and kill her 1-2-swiftstrike
She’s most vulnerable during her ult, so why wouldn’t Genji go after her FIRST with Dragonblade for the free kill? She can’t do anything during her ult except channel the beam
her ultimate does 70 damage per second. At yes a good range, That is 20 more per second than a normal moira beam. Mercy got nerfed because her ultimate won team fights. it was a mini trance. With the utility of an orisa ult, she could rez two teamates, and then the fight was in your favor as the mercy player, Moira’s ult tics every several seconds with minimal impact which is why she gets them rather quickly. Mercy is PERFECTLY fine as she is. According to Overbuff, she is still one of the top 5 most played heroes, and top 2 most played healers, I dont think someone who is in mid gold should come at someone with such a condescending attitude, when im just here for friendly discussion. Im not acting ike that with anyone, and my information is from watching streams, its from OW league, anyone can form an opinion even if they aren’t god tier. because I sure am not LMAO
Technically man it does 70 damage per second, so even if the Moira is tracking you down perfectly as a tracer or genji which she probably isnt, she needs 3 seconds on either. It gives her move speed to have a better angle to shoot at her team or the enemy if it is needed.
