Moira did receive a large buff

Her healing power has been increased significantly.

Healing went from 65 to 70

Healing resource recharge from primary increased %50!!!

Healing resource drain from 14 to 11

  • increased %27 so nerf.

Linger heal went from 65 over 4 second to 35 over 2. So that means linger heal now does 8-10% more hps.

If you’re a heal Moira and not a dps moira these are big healing buffs. The heal orb remained the same.

If youre a dps moira… That likes spamming abilities for kills… Yes this is a nerf.

But true supports look at this as a buff. It clearly is. Her aim is less forgiving but still pretty forgiving

bold of you to assume the majority of moira players play her as a support

I think the majority of players do like her as a support. I have played a couple games where players refuse to heal. But it’s pretty rare. People always just want pure buffs without nerfs…

why is that bold statement isn’t she categorized as support?

She’s the best support duelist just like hog is the best tank duelist and tracer the best dps duelist.

People love the duelist heros and often leave their team to find 1v1 duels… So the player that like duelists will dislike the Moira changes bc she helps her team more now and can’t play on her own as much. Spamming an orb and mowing someone down for free was always lolz… Should have never been in the game

That’s a really optimistic take on it, I disagree. Having her lingering heal cut in half, reducing her primary hitbox by more than a third, and reducing her effective healing tank by almost a third are huge nerfs. The positives don’t really add up to make her a stronger hero.

You just over-exagerated the negatives and didn’t even mention the positive. 65heaing over 4 seconds is nothing fantastic. (Linger heal)… Technically if u tap M1 once it does 105 healing over 2 seconds vs 130 healing over 4…

If you tap heal then suck every 2 seconds instead of switching between them every 4 seconds it’s gonna do more. The changes just make it do what they are supposed to do faster.

The recharge rate it comes back got a massive buff. And the amount it costs was nerfed by half the buff.

Really it just takes way more focus… But ya if u actually look at the numbers it’s a big buff

Moira is a support, not pure healer. Doing damage is her way of contributing to the team. I’ve no doubt the healing buffs are going to feel good, but at the end of the day if that’s all she provides people will be bored playing her.

The good thing about linger was its juice efficiency, not its HPS. Now juice management is harder; I don’t actually mind that, but I feel pretty much where I was before the changes, maybe slightly worse.

If this set of changes is what it takes to make Moira “skilled” then whatever, but it doesn’t seem like a “large buff” to me.

Moira is the best support duelist and the most survivable support with high healing output.

No support is good at everything moira isn’t either but she has her area she is good in

Laughs in doomfist .

Sorry but not every support player is gold.

Nu-ira now rewards better resource management skill, and I love it.

There are not real nerf to his damage.

Attach angle not reduce the damage of moira, if the player can aim(and not really need too much to aim even this with change).

While it will take some time getting used to, atm Ana just feels easier.

Ive seen gm moiras dps half the game

She sucked before and sucks after changes for ladder above gold anyways

So she stayed the same just slightly more skillful for the same reward

From my experience, it was an overall nerf to a character already lacking representation at higher levels of play (if you care about that sort of thing).

The extra healing throughput is not enough to save anyone in most cases. People are getting blown up still. Combine that with anti-nade, and it feels even more rare than before that I can “save” some one. It now feels like a top-up simulator, where our team killed their team, get everyone back to 100% for the next fight.

The lingering being cut to a max of 35 over 2 seconds is worse utility for healing the team than it was before. I understand it provides slightly more throughput, but again, because people are getting blow up, 1 puff on 4 grouped up teammates could potentially do 260 healing, which was a pretty good counter to dynamite damage, and you can focus your attention on the person being focused by the other team. Now 1 puff can only heal 140hp, and requires your constant attention.

At high ranks of play, healers cannot play in line of sight of double snipers (Guess what the meta is, and has been for a long time). With the changes to the healing resource, you are expected to be DPS tapping enemies with your suck every 2-3 seconds, aka being in line of sight of getting 1 tapped by a sniper across the map, CONSTANTLY.

My suggestion is if you want moira’s playstyle to be actively switching from healing to dps, in order to keep the healing going, and be IN the fight she shouldn’t be 1 shotable by snipers. You are forcing her to be in LOS of the enemy team, and giving her nothing to actually accomplish that feat.

idk, her lingering was pretty important for me

If you are a heal moira and you tried moira currently you would know that it takes more resources now to keep dumb dps alive that its absolutely harder to manage the “fast charging” heal resource.

You lose it too fast. Moira sucks. Its whatever I never liked the character anyway but don’t try to skill elitist people into thinking she was buffed and only bad people thinks shes nerfed.:man_shrugging:t6::man_shrugging:t6:
