Eh they’ll most likely still do it even if she got her damage nerfed, unless you nerfed it so much it sucked the fun out of it.
it is kind of presumptuous to assume that healers heal ![]()
Again we should not balance for potato league. Even in diamond the healers usually know to do thier job lol
Yeah, you’re probably right.
Either your team is fighting pretty close to spawn or RNGesus decided to screw you in particular that day.
Otherwise it was intentional.
Though, if you want to decrease the orb uptime, I’d be down with that.
But could you give us an increase in both totals to compensate? Maybe from 200/300 to 250/350? (Damage/Healing)
Not like Moira orbs stick around long anyway before either being depleted entirely or flying away into the sky because yeah, sure, that lamp that’s 2 pixels wide and can be destroyed by a sneeze totally has a hitbox that should send orb flying…
Personally I would rather lose the ability to bounce it off walls and have the ability to stop the orb mid flight so I can CC some of the widow/hanzo areas. Stops people complaining about random orbs and gives her a bit of utility.
Ooh, interesting. I like that. Probably not for Moira though.
The bouncing orbs can be really useful when you get them right.
I can heal my team from spawn on Lijang Gardens with a very simple orb bounce. Alternatively, if my teammate catches a flanker and needs some sustain before I can get to them, I can bounce my orbs around walls and through doorways to aid them.
As much as anti-perch utility would be nice, I can’t give up the No LoS healing orb provides.
Plus, it makes a BWOMPH sound.
Well what I had in mind was specifically just for the damage orb since no one complains about the healing orb. Also the damage orb would not tether until it has stopped, forgot to add that part.
Oof, can’t say I like that.
Both orbs should work the same for consistency’s sake. At least that’s what I believe.
Still, I’m not authority in balance. There is merit to this idea. This could be the ideal solution and I’m just being closed minded about it. It’s always good to have more ideas. (Unless they’re, like, really unbelievably stupid.)
It’s just a rough idea. I mostly thought in terms of what I could test in the Workshop. You could make both the healing orb and damage orb function the same, same bounce, same stopping feature with the only difference being the healing orb tethers and the damage orb does not (while in motion).
This way it’s mostly the same and the adjustment period won’t be that dramatic.
Damage orbs are basically those wasps that somehow fly 1 inch from your face no matter how fast you try to run away from them
lets make widow’s mine deal 200 damage aswell, and perhaps next time you will check corners or either go another way where it is on widow’s favour you go that way…
If so then make Damage Orb deals more damage, becuz using a damage orb in any ocassion is and can be considered soft throwing, especially in high ranks.
How many of those Moiras threads you plan on doing
Does she hurt you so much
Imagine just standing there as the slowest projectile in the game slowly drifts towards you, continuing to stand there as it slowly starts to drain your health, making an obnoxiously loud noise, continuing to watch it slowly drift by you, ignoring the giant purple beam connecting you to the giant purple orb and being shocked when the measly 200 damage eventually manages to kill you 4 seconds later.
But of course, it’s not your fault. Moira is the one with no skill. Lol.
If they nerf her damage then they have to up the amount of healing she gains from it. She literally will be garbage otherwise.
Bait threads get bait responses
It’s funny because in most duels you actually want to throw out healing orb for the sustain, since staying alive to right-click the enemy down is more important than killing them faster, and since you’re a healer staying alive is more important.
In a 1v1 moira fight, the one who throws out a healing orb will almost always win the trade overall, often getting the kill.
Unless you’re gold or below, of course. In which case I’m sure you just follow the orb as it kills you while screaming HELP. MOIRA HURT ME. SHE OP. PLS!
Is this another ‘ability is unfun to play against, nerf’ thread?
On a serious note, it’s not impossible to avoid. Where were your healers anyway?
It’s too high damage, low risk.
