It doesn’t even take the moira any skill to win, all she does is look at you and your dead . The only thing you can do is pray that your boosters are off CD before she demechs you.
A support can 1 v 1 a tank, let that settle in for a moment.
If you are out of mech all she has to do is throw a single damage orb and you are dead, there is nothing you can do about it. No counter play, nothing, back to spawn with you.

lol, Dva must be bad then because she can eat Moira’s healing orb which Moira needs to get a D.Va out of mech long enough in a 1v1. Not only that but D.Va can headshot and burst damage a Moira down if she’s skilled enough. She can also chase a Moira right after she baited the Fade out.
Whoever D.Va was wasn’t skilled enough.

If the Moira fades backwards when you dive her as D.Va and you’re talking about a 1v1 strictly, then yes it is highly likely that at a certain range it is impossible for D.Va to do enough damage past Moira’s lifesteal.
Even baby dva can win the 1v1.
Most likely this response is a troll but:
-Moira can auto lock a target and takes no skill
-fade on 6 second CD, MM on a 8 second CD, do the math
-biotic grasp has a range of 20 meters(even longer than a DF) and applies a self heal
-dva when firing has a movement speed slow down
-moira can heal for 30 per sec, dva pellet damage is low and moira has a tiny hit box

It’s like one of the easiest match ups. She can’t deny your damage and you can stay very easily out of her range.
The only hero I can’t beat in a fight is Roadhog. The rest is easy days. Moria is a beast when it comes to one v ones.
You can litterally hold down damage and make it to diamond.

This is very much possible. I’ve done it as Moira often.
Conditions:
In this situation, Moira can demech and kill a D. VA like this:
a) Don’t use orbs. Just succc. D. Va does insignificant damage at distance, and Moira’s lifesteal easily counters
b) If D.Va uses boost to get closer, just fade away
c) Strafe to avoid full missile blast
Ironically, this is possible because D.Va has unlimited ammo and the devs reduced her movement speed to compensate. As a result, she can never close the gap walking forward while Moira backs away. Maintaining the distance is easy.
So OP is technically correct. Moira can demech a full health D. Va. Likely to happen in an actual match? No. But possible.
Given enough time, I’ve even killed Reinhard 1v1 by burning through his shield with succ 
. It doesn’t matter how skilled they are, I can kill them.
This is NOT true with other tanks though. A skilled Orisa, Hammond, Zarya etc can kill Moira. But Moira s**ts on D. Va and Reinhardt 1v1.
If the d.va has no clue of what she’s doing, then yes i can beat her.
If the d.va has brains then it will be easy for her to eliminate me.
For me, if i was a d.va a moira (unless i’m out of mech,) would never be able to eliminate me, 1vs1. withouth ult.
