I thought this was about a Moira vs. Moira scenario.
But yeah, I always found the realization disturbing that, in theory, (almost) every support should win a 1v1 against a DPS by default, simply because they have self-sustain, and the DPS usually don’t.
Self-sustain is always of insane value in a 1v1. The supports are so strong by design.
At the same time, I wouldn’t nerf any of them just for that. I find it good that supports have means to defend themselves, even if their best defense would be their offense, as in Zenyatta’s case.
well when your playing a support that cant really run away cuz of how mobile she is you have really no other choice
Yea I mean even on Lucio who I play a lot, she’s scary to me. Can understand if she dives you as an Ana or something
i agree but when it comes to where she can win a fight against a dps while said dps can be getting healed and shes out damaging the healing and as well her insanely good self sustain its seeming a little over powered at times
She’s quite easy to force out or kill tbh. Just don’t move, focus and hit your shots. You have to remember she’s not going to miss, so you really have to hit your shots.
It turns into a routine kill for you, if you start hitting your shots at a better rate.
I personally use the aim trainers and stuff to warm up, and Moira hasn’t bothered me much since, on any hero.
same im trying to play juno and even when im flying around with the increased speed shes still able to chase no problem like her range is another big problem its way to far
20 meters, about the same as Road’s hook. Unless they changed one of them. Her range is fine to me, her ability to burst is the issue, but she is a sitting duck once she’s burned her cds to secure the kill or get out.
Who do you play the most?
i just feel like in order for her to have a good chance in 1v1s she should have to have damage orb up and most of the time she doesnt need to
That’s… Literally how it goes though, if you can’t kill her in the around 4 seconds it takes for her to kill you without orb… Kinda need to practice a bit more on aiming and prediction.
Not saying it’s easy to do, or fun, but it’s the only option.
I’ll throw in some things I have learned from playing as and against her.
She cannot duel any tank. If she’s pressured by a tank, she has to leave or die.
If she fades in, she’s stuck even if she gets a kill, and should be easily collapsed on.
She is not going to miss you, so stay calm, stay still if it helps, and aim for that big forehead of hers.
Range is her enemy, so is burst damage. Cass does extremely well against her.
hot take: heroes with good mobility are the lowest skill in the game

I would agree with dooms, getquakedon movement, that looks hard AF, but his normal in conbat movement is not really
very low CD’s, all riptire sized AOE that CC’s, damages and shields
pressing 1234 quickly removes most of the risk

Getting hit by absurd hit boxes, from a completely silent roll out until he basically one shots you, is not that impressive. I found watching Zbra, Quakedon, etc very boring, because it was “Ima stall on this roof for 30 seconds, then one shot the backline with no audio cue, and escape because I randomly shrug off CC.”

Abusing bugs to have an advantage is not impressive. I’m just going to leave it at that.
There’s a reason he got reworked from DPS, and that was because it was easier to turn him into a tank (Which he already pseudo was, with the shields he could generate), than fix the laundry list of bugs.
They hurt on both sides of play, against and as Doom. The only impressive thing about DPS Doom, was that you could randomly slide on a wall instead of getting instantly deleted, and you could still follow up for a kill regardless. That is what I find impressive, that you lose a kill to a bug, but recover and secure it regardless, not stalling on rooftops for 30 seconds, not launching from a point where there is no audio cue, etc.
Different tastes, different opinion, is all.
