I was informed in previous communications with forum moderators that while it is perfectly ok to have multiple forum accounts, it is against forum policy to self-support one another on a given topic. Along the lines of forum account x says item1 is good (or bad, whatever), then forum account y chimes in to agree, and then forum account z chimes in to also agree…and all three accounts are owned by the same human being
I recently experienced this “self support” sequence of posts, with the self supporting individual using three different accounts to harass me, and I made a post to point this out.
The post I made to point this out - immediately following the three sequential posts by the same individual on three different accounts - was removed by a forum moderator a few minutes ago
I am not posting this to complain about or appeal the removal of my post, but rather to try to understand what the proper thing to do is in such a case. I made my honest best guess about how to properly report this situation, and clearly, I guessed wrong
This is not unlike my question about the correct way to report harassment a month or so back in that the rule-breaking is stretched out over multiple posts, and ergo, a single-post report flag (even three such flags) isnt sufficient to bring attention to it

Please dont say single-post report flags, because this is an offense that crosses multiple posts

This is also a problem in other aspects here. There are frequently new accounts posting explicit and blatant racist, mysoginistic, homophobic and transphobic stuff, with slurs and all, and the posts are instantly liked by the same person, indicating that this person own this accounts.
Altough the posts are deleted and the accounts are restricted, this keeps being a problem ever once in a while. I would very much like a position about this, as well.

Blizzard is totally fine with harassment, in fact they promoted it in their own company and got sued and lost for it

I don’t think there is a way to report this.
Maybe there should be more categories in the report bullet-point menu that include stuff like “abusing multiple accounts” or “evading ban through alternate account(s)”.

Honestly, this is the only way I know how to do anything. I’ve seen this issue before where someone was posting racist things, false accusations, etc. And it’s really hard to get those things actioned. Like even things that are blatantly against the rules can take time at certain times of day because there isn’t always a moderator on duty I don’t think. I don’t know of a better way unfortunately.
But also, you really need to be sure. Sometimes it’s easy to know when someone is on an alt. Other times, it’s speculation and it could actually just be multiple people disagreeing with you. I’ve learned some people’s alts over the years, but I don’t know everyone’s and sometimes I am surprised to learn that 2 forum users are the same person.
How do you get in touch with the mods because I really want to ask about getting my level 3 access back. I had a post falsely reported and it cost me that.

I’d say GFNEW2 creating an account “LittleDodo” specifically to troll MegaDodo and then responding to their own topic from multiple other accounts would constitute harassment and breaking of forum ToCs.
Although I’m pretty tired of the big dodo taking over every conversation about bans, repeating the same things over and over and over again. Maybe that should be against ToCs as well.

Quality is more important than quantity. Ignore them, besides, you have no way of proving your claims. Blizzard has to deal with this internally, so creating a thread on their forums may be the only thing you can do.

If someone was doing that on my threads then i’d probably just yawn and laugh at how sad it is that someone would go to the trouble of creating and maintaining an echo chamber for themselves.
it’s… weirdly narcisistic, and in a clinical way, not just coloquially. Just imagine thinking you own the narrative, but nobody is really agreeing with you, just yourself. It’s a level of cognitive and social derangement that is just sad to watch. This person likely has pushed away everyone else around them with this sort of behavior.

One day I want to be important enough to warrant publicly addressing the mods to update rules and procedures specifically because of me. All I get is every third comment removed.

I’d look at it this way. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. You make such an impact on people that they go out of their way to do that silliness. Don’t feed the trolls and I think they get bored. imo

I am honestly jealous of Dodoco. Where did I go wrong? All of my haters are cowards on alt accounts that just want to say the same thing once and only once never to be seen again.
How does Dodoco pull all of the baddies that live for him?! Why isn’t there a ThinnBuddha for hero bans? I understand that green is not a creative color, but everyone cares about Dodoco’s opinion. Nobody ever asks ThiccBuddha about hero bans. Nobody ever tries to get on sock puppets to gaslight me into believing hero bans are the best thing since sliced bread.
Heck, once I tried to steal one of his haters from them that I found particularly cute, they just let me make fun of them and kept addressing Dodoco. What the heck? Why is he so much better than me?
