Title is not click bait, all you need is a pc player in your group. BUT it is very buggy and not really playable.
Bugs I’ve noticed after about 5 minutes.
CONS
*Cannot aim right most of the time
*Does not feel smooth
*Can only change your in game mouse sensitivity with your mouse dpi
*Cannot change any keybinds
*Must have a pc player in your group
PROS
*Happy to know they are implementing a important feature like this for console players
*Optimistic for the future of mouse and keyboard being fully implemented properly for us console players.
Overall I don’t know how long this has been a thing I’ve only just known about it today but I am really glad that it is, even with how it performs currently. If anyone has any fixes for me that would be great also.

This is huge!
I remember people reporting that they noticed this a while back as well even as far back as the initial beta…
But is this actually intentional?
Or is it just some kind of bug…
And I don’t think it works for Playstation does it?
Seems to be an Xbox only thing at the moment?
I have a feeling that it might just be that the Xbox recognizes mouse and keyboard itself and Microsoft intended for it to be usable in games and be recognized but possibly each game needs to manually tweak how it works in order for it to actually work and Overwatch didn’t intend for the feature to actually be a thing which is why you get all that weird behavior…
Which means we’re still gonna have to pester the developers to actually support mouse and keyboard as an intended feature heh…

I tried this during the betas when it was first reported using my alt and my main (one on PC, the other on xbox) and I could not get it work at all. That said, my console is old gen (2016), so it’s possible current gen might have the capability. Am also curious to know if that affects it.
I tried it with my XBOX and my PC account and everything the author mentioned is working!

You need a PC friend who needs to invite you to their group. Then the PC lead needs to open the practice range / any custom game. You can’t control the menus with mouse & keyboard. You should be able to move around with the keyboard and abilties should get casted with the basic PC layout (LSHIFT, E, Q).
Note: The Controller promps still getting displayed!
I also don’t believe it will work on Playstation though. Probably XBOX only.
