Was just wondering if anyone’s come across the same “glitch” as me. If you can even call it that.
I’m missing a Sigma and Zen player icon from the most recent anniversary event and I know I should’ve gotten them since I was getting duplicates from the chests that event and I have every item in the game besides Doomfist’s Jotun skin and said player icons.
Curious if anyone else has run into this issue of missing event items from chests that should’ve given said items. This is on my PS4 account btw.

Well welcome to my world, where rather than giving me content that I don’t have, lootboxes give me something out of event or something I already had.
What I meant by that, is since they reworked how loot boxes work a few years ago you’re supposed to get all the items you’re missing from that rarity and chest before you start getting duplicates.
That’s where my confusion comes in. Cause according to how their system works I should have them and its the only two items in the game I’ve had that happen with.
That may depend on which connection methods you’re using for the PS4, I have one but it wired to the router for fast internet access
I have a wired connection as well. But even with that. Why do you think that would effect that?
PS4 needs to Upload and Download data to the overwatch server to confirm that you got the Player Icons if it did not than the PS4 Databases did not upload the data correctly
Interesting… I did not know that. So that sounds like it’d be a one time issue type thing and next anniversary event I should be able to get them. At least that’s what I’m assuming.
So what I would recommend is either restart the PS4 or Boot it into safe mode to rebuild the Databases, This will not delete any data saved on the ps4 or games on it.
I’ve definitely done that since the anniversary event since I try to do it whenever I remember, but I’ll try it again right now.
That may depend on which model you have, the original may take some time, the slim takes three minutes, and the pro may also take some time depending on the hard drive you have installed on the ps4
It didn’t work unfortunately. I guess all I can really do is wait until the next anniversary event to see if I get them.
Yeah because the ps4 had issues in the past during the anniversary event, this upload and download also applies to the switch and xbox console as well, however they have different architectures, that works differently than the ps4.
Like I said, all I can really do know is wait till the next anniversary event to see if I can get them and if I don’t maybe I can contact Blizz support. But thank you for the replays anyhow.

I’m having this issue in 2025 — my favorite player icon, Crimson Seal, has disappeared. It simply says I don’t even own it anymore.
