I redeemed a hero pack in game pass and it was supposed to be activated on my account, but when I go to enter the game I don’t have the characters unlocked. What i have to do now

For me, after I claimed AND redeemed the Microsoft Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Perk (“Overwatch 2: New Heroes Starter Pack”), the associated in-game content did not unlock until AFTER I manually closed/quit the Overwatch 2 game app, then relaunched it.
Leaving the Overwatch 2 game app running while claiming and redeeming the perk did not appear to recognize the newly-added in-game content. But, manually closing/quitting the game and re-launching it (where it then shows the Blizzard logo during startup) seemed to resolve this for me.
