Seriously. We’ve been asking since the game came for a 6 stack only ladder. Solo Q is not balanced and a different game. We want 6 Vs 6 teams, on a ladder. Creating communities, playing the game as it’s built, as we see on the eSports.
the only issue is that they’d have to do away entirely with 5 stacks, and make sure that games that do have stacks are always 3+3 vs either 3+3 or 2+4 or 2+2+2 or 6v6which could drive queue times up. but other than those drawbacks I agree, it would be better for the game as a whole.
No one enjoys being on a team that has split groups against a six stack when other players on your team are not in the team chat. More often than not, these games might as well end at the loading screen with your team waving a white flag, to avoid wasting everyone’s time
Pre-made 6-stacks are called Teams. They have a ladder for this called Open Division, Contenders, and OWL.
This is called “joining a team and scrimming other teams.” If you don’t want that kind of dedication, there are also PUGs.
What button does the team leader click on to queue up tho?
I think they’re asking for standard, competitive ladder play to accommodate six stacks who play together but don’t want to form an e-sports team…
you know, like John Q. SemiCasual who enjoys the game and has 5 other friends who do too, but who also have lives outside of practicing Overwatch
Open division is more for the eSports. Not very accessable for everyone to join a team and find times to scrim.
We want an official 6 stack ladder in the standard game.
It’s a 6 player game but ‘average Joe’ has to play salty solo queue because that’s the heart and soul of the public game.
6 stack competitive Q is still broken, the game’s been out over 3 years
That’s it in one, in my late teens and early twenties I did have time to be pro. Now I have a job and a family I don’t. But I do enjoy competition.
