Mischief & Magic exploiters

My very first game of this Mischief & Magic gamemode and the enemy team had someone exploiting sticking to a wall over the edge - meaning the only way to catch them is by killing yourself.

It’s really sad when gamemodes like this, where you are really just about the fun, people find ways to cheap their way to victory. Really reflecting how people are in regular play (qp and comp)…

I would call it being “Creative”. You can’t get mad at someone because they thought of a way to outsmart the other team before you did. I understand being frustrated with it, but it is what it is my friend.

This is a pretty common tactic in prop hunt games. If the map is properly designed, there’s a spot where the hunters can safely shoot the prop while they hang there.

Unfortunately, OW is using repurposed maps, so issues will appear. Hopefully they’ll fix these unkillable prop spots or block them off at some point.

Yea I had this happen too. But I jumped down and lunged back up killing the Kiri and surviving. Took me a few tries but I got it.

When the objective is to win, people will do anything to win.

Jump away from wall….dash and climb?

It’s so corny that you losers actually believe you are being cute by exploiting a glorified hide and seek mode in the arcade.

Not everyone can make millions breaking games

People do that every time this game mode comes out

Yeah because I’m sure they independently came up with that strat themselves too.

You mean Genji’s dash and wall climb aren’t enough?

It’s not being creative, it is being an annoyance and ruining the gamemode that is meant to be fun. If cheating to you is “outsmarting” others, then I wouldn’t be surprised seeing you posting why you got banned on Overwatch on a certain website.

Some parts of the map has been edited to have invisible walls etc. So it is odd that they’d let this in.

Shouldn’t have to “take a few tries” to get someone who is in a spot where you risk dying most of the times.

You shouldn’t have to risk dying to get someone in a gamemode like this, it’s literally prophunt. The only thing that is supposed to kill the hunters is if they attack too much.

Its an arcade game mode, it aint that deep…its not that serious of a gamemode, you treating it like its a competitive match.

Haha that’s a great channel.

Yes, it’s a bit sucky and an exploit, but you just kill them last. They can’t go anywhere or they’ll fall off, and you know where they are.

it’s meant to be a fun casual game mode, try-harding by exploiting glitches in the map is the opposite of that. sad sad people.

Is it a glitch though? I understand it’s annoying and frustrating, but what exactly is the glitch? I could understand clipping through to be below the death barrier being a glitch. I could understand Genji getting out of spawn before the game starts being a glitch. But what specifically is a glitch here?

Who said anything about playing this like it’s competitive? I even wrote in the original post that it’s sad that a gamemode that is supposed to be about the fun is ruined by exploiters.

I joined the gamemode to play OW’s version of prophunt but was met with a bunch of exploiters. What fun is that?

There is no real glitches in the gamemode that make it unplayable
