Okay what if when you die, your respawn time is reduced based on how much ult charge to call mech you built. Not sure the exact numbers probably somewhere between 15-25% ult charge = 1 less second to respawn. This would reduce staggering caused by her pilot form and would also make the gameplay more interesting. Enemies have incentive to hunt you more aggressively, and you would have incentive to land shots even if you know it’s hopeless
2 potential concerns. 1. Could mess with wave respawning 2. Could reduce the risk of call mech kills too heavily
Idk if I’m the only one but i kind of wish there was a perk that erased baby d.va and you just die like normal. But to balance it out maybe she gets an additional 175 or 200 hp to mech or even a 1-2 second invul that can only trigger every 2 mins when your health reaches 1 or something.
A fair comparsion I suppose. I notice the respawn times shorten sometimes when multiple teammates have died. You ever notice that? Is that the “respawn wave”?
Yeah it’s wave respawn they added it a few seasons ago just tries to respawn people at the same time (in “waves”), you can spawn a few seconds earlier or later as a result
I’ll take anything that makes baby dva anything other than a hindrance. While I love the idea of baby dva, in practice it just causes you to get staggered. Fights don’t last long enough for you to get mech back and use the second life mechanic to your advantage. If you die late into the fight you lose the next one cause your team doesn’t have a tank.
In order for this mechanic to be useful, you would need to get mech back VERY quickly. This might be super op or people would just learn to kill baby dva asap.
How? You’re still just as squishy and likely to die during remech. Plus if you die your ult charge will be 0….
You lose the ability to eject from Mech when Mech is destroyed.
In return, you can be Heero Yuy.
Each time you are eliminated, you will explode after 2 seconds, dealing 50 damage and irradiating a 3 meter area that deals 30 DPS. All abilities besides boosters (even primary) are disabled during these 2 seconds. Range, damage and AoE scales with Ultimate charge. When Ultimate is full you"ll use the Self-Destruct automatically upon being eliminated but have 2 seconds to try and fly into an enemy (if boosters are off cooldown). Radiation effect also applies, Ultimate charge then resets to zero.
maybe make it so that when mech is destroyed she pulls out a katana(since she’s asian and we all know all asians are good with katanas) and pop dragon blade and if she kills someone she get 20% of call mech and so a 5k dragon blade by dva = instant remech
seems fairly balanced

What I noticed is that baby Dva is quickly killed by most players, in most ranks. The staggering is more of a high rank and E-sport thing. So, this perk might not be that popular imo.
I don’t see how. The calculations remain the same.
Most of the mech kills happen when Dva uses her ult, instead of when she gets de-mech’ed.
The Dva de-mech usually results in either her death or in a safe re-mech behind a cover.
Those tiktok Reverse Unos are pretty rare.
