Can we please please up the minimum level for competitive to atleast level 100? I know most of you guys don’t deal with this but for a person who is hard stuck silver tank main that is primarily solo queueing, it’s so frustrating to die to Junkrat/Sym/Bastion one tricks. I’ve tried everything and this is just honestly so frustrating. If there’s anyway to deal with this please let me know.

What’s the link between a one trick and level 100 requirement to play comp ? Also I think level 75 would be better than 100.

I just used those examples because in silver, people who play dps cant do sh*t. They cant play a single hitscan, they can only mindlessly play junk,sym,bastion, because they are considered easy characters. Yes those characters can make an impact if played well but if you played a game in silver with silver dps, you will understand why im so frustrated.
I did yet I don’t care. Why should I be frustrated about my teammates when I just need to be frustrated about myself?

Why should you care about your dps ? I want the level requirement do go up. But you should expect people to play like this in silver.

i cant tell if youre being serious or not. i dont know what youre thinking but i cant 1v6 a team by just being a tank. its so 4Head to say to not care about dps if they are the literally the reason were losing.
I’m being serious. Tank have a huge impact in the game. If you want to climb or to have fun you should just forget about what your team is doing.

yeah youre trolling. go back to what i said before. you realize that a tank can do so much right? you are literally saying to 1v6 the team. you dont realize how bad and good players can be here. there are people who are genuinely new and people who are smurfs. its literally so common for me to get placed with a team that are gameplay sabotaging to boost, throwing, literally new to the game. 4Head just dont care about others and 1v6 the team doesnt matter if your team is jacking off
I’m not saying to 1v6 dude. Do your thing that helps to get the win. Can’t win this game ? gg go next. Never said to 1v6, only said to stop caring about your team in the way of stop looking at how they play. Adapt to them and do your job, that’s all.

High diamond. I had an account in silver not long ago I know how it looks and I was hardstuck for multiple season when I started playing.

im just so tilted i literally can not. i dont have a single prson that isnt toxic to play with. i need someone to play with thats decent that can carry with me. i genuinely think i deserve gold/plat. this is awkward to ask but would you mind coaching me/helping me improve? by that i dont mean carry i just want some point outs for my gameplay

The starting place for new players is Gold - Platinum.
Increasing the level minimum could be good, though you can’t assure people will become better.
But in the other hand Competitive play is the main promise of this game, so then you would deny the known gamemode from Overwatch from the new players.

you just have to get good at tank (i’m not trolling). If you belong higher on tank you will skyrocket through ranks

I was always against this, but I am starting to change my mind. Lvl 25 is definitely not enough when you are starting and often placed in gold.

Aiko isn’t much of a troll, honestly. They aren’t telling you to go 1v6 just to group up and follow your team instead of going it alone. All low rank players have trust issues in solo queue and don’t exactly know how to execute their roles very well.
Most of the time it’s a limitation of the DPS role who aren’t able to cleanly hit targets which push all the pressure on the tanking and support roles to keep them up until they can pull something together.
There aren’t many people who are completely new to the game anymore and the boosting or throwing is just part of the game. Something you have to push through.
back on topic to the main though, I’ve been in favor of an increase in level for comp availability for almost 3 years now. At this point it’s pretty clear that blizzard have no intention to raise it, though.

Send me some of your replays. I’m a low GM tank player, and know a fair bit about the role. I can particularly help if you play Sig/Zarya, but I know the basics of every tank hero.
Tank in low ranks is by far the most impactful role. You don’t need to 1v6, but you should be able to provide enormous value just by playing decently the majority of the time.
Queued up for comp first time back when I reached level 25. Let’s just say that I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. Somehow I placed in gold, I was absolute deadweight, I fell all the way to bronze, and over the next 100 levels had to figure the game out and climb my way back to gold.
Level 25 is way too low a barrier for comp. Should be level 100 imo.
