Mini maxing in overwatch

If you don’t know how to mini max in ow it’s gonna be hard to climb. As a support you should always be weaving in damage when you can, shooting shields is the first example of mini maxing especially if theres no way around it.

This is 1 thing lifeweaver had but now struggles with, even tho he had extreamly low damage when you got done healing someone dosen’t matter if you just got done dpsing YOU WANT TO START POKING IMMEDIATELY when someones full hp, so what you notice now is that your gonna be stuck in the reload animation in that 2.5 seconds that is plenty of time for someone to get hit by a junkrat mine or whatever so now you just lost the extra value you could be getting.

Say the enemy team has a heal Moira and because you keep poking at a target that Moira is forced to waste resources healing that target.

“some” damage is always better then no damage in this game.

What if youre already at full ult charge and your “some” damage is just charging the ults of enemy healers

Now that’s different that gives you more room to think about what you wanna do, like you can “Heal” bot more but you definitely want to be pushing like low hp targets and people who are out of position IMMEDIATELY. Also remember the enemy teams probably gonna have ults anyways so simply trying not to feed them all game won’t be optimal. For some you can even force them out and negate them with your tree (like coalesonce).

I’m also trying to think of strats to seal people into walls because 1 value pick even from a ultimate would probably be huge.

So some damage isn’t always better than no damage
