Minefield needs changes

We need to either eliminate his ability to gain ult charge while its up, or drastically reduce its duration, or both, really. He gets mines way too ridiculously often.

I’ve made a thread about it. His mines to do not need 20s uptime. Don’t tell me that I can just destroy them. I can also destroy the arcade machines and railings. There’s a reason I only do that between teamfights not during. Nobody besides tanks have the time to clear out all those mines, especially when they have more hp than symmetras turrets.

They do get a surprising number of kills from people just walking right into them even with no danger. Its quite funny. It still seems like a rather underwhelming ultimate all things considered. The fact you can destroy them means it doesn’t last as long as something like Molten Core.

Another thing to them not feeling very good is that they can’t be placed by hammond himself like Molten core or directed how he wants them. You could find all of your ultimate sitting in the roof of some edge they got caught on or riding with the payload and suddenly a spot opens up.

It just feels RNG-like sort of like how Scatter Arrow felt.

Lasts way too long if you ask me.

Minefield is so strong as zoning that i ult as Mei just to delete the minefield from Hanamura point B but if you don’t have a hero like Reinhardt in your comp is just impossible to clean that fast enough during a teamfight.

Just my opinion but I don’t think it’s that Wrecking Ball is too strong, rather, other Tanks can’t compete with him because they’re in a weak, nerfed state.

I’ve got you beat, I actually had to toss an EMP out for them. Without Rein or at the very least Sigma, clearing them out takes alot of time and oh right, there are 6 enemies including a hypermobile hero CCing you into them while you’re trying to clear out space to even stand on.

I feel I can’t compete as hammond because no tank can out right kill him before he scampers off except roadhog and all of the long lasting stuns are in the DPS/Support category and surprise surprise in QP everyone themselves just plays Mercy/Ana, Genji/Tracer, Hanzo, Widow, etc. leaving you with only a singular stun to counter rampant mobility. Orisa would be a good choice with Halt, but the rest of her kit is so bad its ugh.

No Brig, no sombra, no mccree, no mei, etc.

I dunno, I primarily play QP and I see a lot of McCree regardless of if there is a Ball, so he’s getting stunned a whole bunch when he’s there. I see a lot of Hog and Orisa as well (usually me lol) so he is hardly problematic for us

Yeah, practically every game I see has some combination of Ana, McCree, Hog, and one other stun/hack/CC. Everyone hates Hammond so much they preemptively swap

Usually, McCree shows up very, very late into a QP match. After people get tired of being flanked after like 3minutes they finally decide they want to try to win. If I am on support, I usually swap to Brigitte right away after the first death.

On Tanks, Ana has an incredibly high pick rate and Roadhog into her with no shield (since many people have been picking like Dva/Hammond/Zarya) I keep getting hit with all the sleep darts and bionades. Quite annoying.

Which even if people swap off hammond usually something like Reinhardt comes out shortly there after possibly unless Hammond stays the entire game.

Yeah please reduce the up time, every time you don’t get some quick kills with it or the enemy manages to win the fight anyway its just another free support ult for the enemy. Having some oblivious player walk into them long after they have been laid doesn’t really make up for it.

it’s pretty much all I use blizzard for now, that or bullying a tank.

I’m of the opinion no hero should gain ult charge while an ult is active. Ball, Ashe, Torb, etc.
