She kinda is already.
She just needs a FULL rework. Everyone wants her to go back to her roots (Aka Support).
Hard-light can be pretty much anything, so I dont see the reason why they cant just do a Full rework.
Her Turrets and defensive playstyle and kit has always held her back.

Yeah, I mean Bastion didn’t get any rework until OW2, let’s hope Sym gets something big before OW3.
She has too many niches. She may have to lose one if they ever want to make her good.
She can’t be a niche barrier destroyer, and a high coordination teleporter, and a defence point queen, and a mobility flanker counter.
It’s too much niche for one Hero. It stops her from truly excelling at any one of them IMO.
I also think it’s weird that the hero that constructs objects out of light doesn’t cycle through weapons like Mercy or Torbjorn. I was expecting her to be like Momo Yaoyorozu from My Hero Academia. Whipping light swords and laser pistols out of her god knows where.
I just feel the concept for Sym is so spectacular and her repeated reworks don’t live up to what she could be.
But I’m just one person with a weird opinion.
I don’t even know why they bothered reworking her to be honest.
Its like patching a leaking boat with sand, no matter how many times you do it it will still sink
They can give Symmetra 5643 reworks but if the direction that they always do to her is the same then she will be forever bound to fail.
Sym mains want a character that’s much simpler than what her concept allows for.
She’s a “unique” character that’s easy to play and understand. You’re never going to get something truly fun out of her kit, because all of the sym players want something different. When you change something, a different group is gonna pop up to complain about the new
