Microsoft Azzure wont scale and QA test OW2, no QA for WoW

Microsoft Azzure wont scale and QA test OW2 auth, and no QA for WoW TWW (by auth i mean by like you randomly kicking players, and not testing it and fixing it) [or im just psychotic like everyone else, lma0].

nope. randomly DCed from a OW2 win right before end in OT.

everyone knows there was no QA testing in WoW TWW beyond super basic stuff, and yes they recycle most instances.

honestly microsoft never had a soul and blizz sold it to make what was once the best game in the world-- ever-- statistically speaking, even proportionally-statistically speaking, an instrument to be optimized by some soulless business consultant who found a way to save money without ever using empathy, consumer testing, or anything,
or some Cloud Infrastructure Ops consultant, who found a way to save money, while completely sacrificing the soul of the game, which is integrity and the sense of permanence employed by the game(s) WHEN YOU THREATEN THE ENTIRE VALUE OF THE GAME, PERHAPS YOU THREATEN THINGS BEYOND YOUR FREAKING KNOWLEDGE/KNOWING/AWARENESS, when you don’t DO ANY TESTING ON IT BECAUSE YOURE MICROSOFT.

which is pretty danng ubiquitous between WoW, OW2, and every other freaking game on this planet

so, keep ignoring that or whatever, dont reply, dont blue post. they know.

its really the backend auth QA test to prevent OW2 from dropping connections randomly, which it does frequently, and they dont acknowledge because they dont think they can fix it

and super obvious WoW QA stuff.

dude has 6559 posts
and his post is just,

“What?” [verbatim]

Thanks dude!

cloud infrastructure, backend QA testing. => gpt4u

I eagerly await your reply detailing Microsoft’s acquisition of Blizzard and relatively immediate plans to moonlight the game and infrastructure (even tho it had been happening before), [to really milk and bleed it out] as being represented as the correct course for the company as a whole, for the franchise as a whole, and for the entire gaming population’s perception as a whole of WoW and it’s quality and OW2 and maybe not getting disconnected during overtime with 10 seconds left when local network didn’t drop any packets at all.

Or, what did you have to say?

What?

If i understand correctly (which is pretty difficult in a sentence that felt like it would never end) you’re implying they don’t QA test.

They do.

This should not be in this forum, post it in Tech or Bug Report

It’s Azure not Azzure. Also the usual: periods, grammar and most importantly, try to breathe and relax a bit on this beautiful Sunday.

overwatch uses google cloud servers

Wow, it took three reads to try and decipher what OP meant.

So are you saying there is no QA for the game’s server or…something?

TO BE FAIR… sometimes it REALLY seems like they don’t. Some really obvious bugs and problems make it straight to production.

QA only check for stuff. They do not fix the stuff.
QA do their thing, and tell the relevant people, it doesn’t mean it will be fixed.

But i understand that people blame certain people lol

Is that… better that they have QA but the developers just go “well… that’s game breaking and will need to be fixed eventually, but whatever…”?

Why even have them if they’re not going to fix the most obvious problems?
It’s easy to understand why people would think there’s nothing if the ball gets dropped that hard.

For anyone wondering; OP has connection issues, and it’s Blizzards fault. Blaming testing (or lack thereof)
And considering how much OP seems to know, it’s embarrassing that this is happening.

OP, I’m guessing you are EU?

To be fair the previous president stated that those jobs were below others and historically blizzard never did much in the said department. They were always reactive to problems, instead of avoiding them.

They could have a team for it, but I really doubt that they’re heard or actually end up doing what they supposed to do.

In several layers, several stuff shouldn’t had happened or existed. They took an year and a half to remove knockdown bug that was introduced by Ow2 client.

I think they got disconnected during a match

it’s an unfortunate reality with game development and QA get blamed all the time.
The decision comes from the top, and they want the christmas release etc for their game.

also just because a bug is known doesn’t mean they have a strategy or even priority for fixing it, i assume that’s the case with many of the strange doom physics bugs and kiriko suzu/tp bugs
also also i imagine they have decades worth of code/tech debt that complicates bugfixing

i forgot which video it was, but in one of the videos on the OW channel they admitted to hog’s hook being entirely spaghetti code lol
