Since the most recent PS4 update my mic has not been working for overwatch. When I go to “social” to join the group chat or party chat beside my name is a green mic with a line through it. when I join the party the symbol stays but changes to grey.
I know my mic works and voice chat still works for other games and if I make a PS4 party outside Overwatch.

Hi- same problem here with my PS4 account. I know it works in other games/PS4 Party Chat, but nothing I do seems to fix it. Could we get a general fix post that actually works- a step by step(not just random terms we’re supposed to know).

Try resetting your audio settings, and also switching DNS to Google’s 8.8.8.8
did the change to 8.8.8.8 and secondary as 8.8.4.4 but still no luck. This was suggested by blizzard as well as check the NAT type which was fine as well. Their only response was
This is Tech Specialist Amanda again. The symbol of a mic with a line through it means you are muted. Unfortunately, the PS4 voice chat issue was due to the patch that fixed the lag issues from voice chat, voice lines and emotes that was going on. Now Dev is working to figure out the voice chat issue that has come up and so far the DNS changes have helped for most players. I do not have an ETA on when it will be fixed.
Once again just very frustrating and is making comp unplayable as I cant join most LFGs without a mic or even hear or talk to other teams for random team ups. Have already dropped a ton of SR because of it…
Anyone figure this out? My friend is having the same issue right now.
As am I. Green symbol line through it, can’t select it or interact with it. Game has been turned on and off many times and I’ve changed my server as well. Been going on since last main update.
