Mic not being detected in voice chat

OW2 is the only game I’ve had this issue with. I’m on a Windows 10 machine using a Sennheiser Game Zero headset. No matter what I’ve tried, I cannot get voice chat to register any sound from my mic.

Things I have done:

  • Tested mic in several other applications, which works
  • Tested mic in Battle.net launcher, which works
  • Uninstalled all unused sound devices using Device Manager
  • Set the microphone as my default device and default communication device
  • Tried using both default devices and the device explicitly in Battle.net settings
  • Attempted push-to-talk, which also registers no sound
  • Ensured I have joined voice channels and am not muted

Does anyone have any clue at all?

There are threads on Reddit dating back 8 years about problems with this headset. Basically, they couldn’t get it working properly with RealTek audio drivers and had to use the ports on the back of the PC vs the front.
