I have read you deleted Archives and didn’t plan on bringing them back. However, there are Archives Xbox achievements. Some gamers being completionists, it’s probably really unsatisfying and maybe even frustrating to be absolutely unable to complete achievements because the Archives are never coming back again. Additionally, Archives was my favorite event. And I’m far from being the only one. It really broke my heart to read the news about the Archives not coming back in Overwatch 2 and I genuinely hope you will go back on this decision and bring this masterpiece back.
The thing I was the most hyped about for Overwatch 2 while it was announced, was the PvE. I was daydreaming and nightdreaming about it regularly. I rewatched the trailer many times and I was imagining maps, story missions and unrevealed talents for hours and I couldn’t wait to see this all. My favourite things in the announcement trailer turned out to be the ones that still today aren’t in game, and I still try to hope that this is just yet. Gothenburg was already my favourite PvP map and I was incredibly hyped for the mission with Genji and Zenyatta and other missions where we could discover more lore about the characters.
Speaking of things I’m kind of deceived about, this one’s less important but still worth talking about: Launch skins. In Overwatch 1, at launch, a hero had 4 rare skins, 2 epic skins and 4 legendary skins. At the start of Overwatch 2, the new heroes had 4 rares, 1 epic and 2 legendaries. I was kinda sad of the reduction, but at least there was “default” legendaries at launch that could be bought with credits instead of the new coins. Now, new heroes, like Venture and Freja, only had 4 rare skins at launch. We had to wait almost one year to get the first non-collab legendary Venture skin. I’m deceived that there are no epic and legendary skins anymore at launch for the new heroes. It would be really cool if you could at least bring the “4-1-2” (R-E-L) pattern back.
