Spam is when the same individual constantly makes a thread on the same topic. There are a lot of Mercy mains meaning there will be lots of threads about mercy. We are just very passionate about our hero.

When I said offensively, I didn’t mean as a means for Mercy to engage a team by herself, though she can absolutely still use it to assassinate isolated enemies (I sometimes erase PharMercys or snipers with it). I meant as a way to start a push and come in with your team all damage boosted.

Where are these magical competent teammates you seem to have coming from? Unless your team is actually decent… they’re not going to go in just because you popped Valkyrie and started damage boosting.

Somebody’s going to have to survive initial contact with the team. Neither 50 HPS nor 30% damage boost is gonna make your Reinhardt charge in.

If 50 hps is worthless, then why is her base healing beam at 50hps? Is she just generally worthless? How is healing multiple targets for that amount not amazing? Imagine if Lucio’s boost was amped to 6x its normal amount or if Ana could hit all 5 teammates at the same time with darts.

Context dude… context. 50 HPS is pretty good for a primary fire. 50 AoE HPS is pretty good for an E waves to Lucio. 75 AoE HPS is even better as an E waves to Moira’s heal ball

For an ult the requirements to be good ratchet up a LOT. There are 2 AoE healing ults. Coalescence and Transcendence. They are at 140 and 300 respectively. I often see people say that Coalescence isn’t strong enough healing. Valkyrie’s healing is a little over 33% of Coalescence’s healing and that’s even ignoring its damage… which Valkyrie can’t do damage at the same time as healing. So…logically, something that little over 33% of the strength of something that’s not good enough is trash.

Proactively as in a means to engage or for quick opening positioning for something else. She can fly and go really fast.

Going fast doesn’t matter if you can’t accomplish anything once you get there.

Reactively as a means to turn around a team fight your team might otherwise lose by healing or boosting everyone at the same time.

Uh huh… if your team is on their back foot… Valkyrie’s not going to fix it. You know what might? E Resurrect.

You can save yourself from death by using Valk as a means to escape, stop yourself from falling to your death, or to throw some permanently regenerating health on yourself for 15 seconds.

Again… saving yourself is generally the ability that gets put on a kits E… not their Q. Color me not impressed.

Yeah, everyone has movement abilities, but not that they can use in concert with every other one of their abilities at a high speed (while literally flying).

Watches DVa fly at someone while simultaneously shooting and rocketting them
Watches Tracer continue shooting/reloading regardless of blinking
Watches Winston jump at and zap Pharah mid air

Yeah… no… no one else has movement abilities where they can keep using their weapons and abilities… /s

Most of the ones that don’t let you do whatever either already do damage baked in (Swift Strike, Shield Bash), are stupid short (McCree Roll), can be cancelled at will (Sprint), or really REALLY need a rework (Shadowstep).

It’s not gluing Es together. It’s essentially popping epic mult-tasking flexibility flight mode with all of her abilities amped up considerably. How is that less of an ult than anything else in the game?

It’s not an ult because the vast majority of Ults in the game do one of two things.
They have a short cast time, which creates some sort of effect that is largely independent of your hero, then let you resume using your hero’s normal kit.
They give you a TON of power in 1-2 areas and butcher some other aspect of your hero’s strength.

Valkyrie is neither.

I think I see the problem. You’re not used to using Valk with coordinated teams. I’m always in voice chat and I play in high masters and GM, so coordinated teams are common for me. I can understand that the ability would feel like much if you weren’t able to use it in a coordinated environment, so I don’t know that we’re even discussing the same ability in that context.
