Mercy's "Power" displayed in Mercy Boxing

So I just experienced Mercy Boxing in the arcade mode. My dang jaw dropped because I got to see Mercy true potential for movement.

For those interested, but don’t want to go into the custom game modes, just search Youtube and type in Mercy Boxing.

So…why is a support of all thing allowed to move like this?

Mercy is an angel not a fly so why is she allowed to move like this at all? The players here put Tracer to shame.

Players say Tracer and Ball are the most mobile heros in the game. But then you see this ingane only to realize that ally anchor thing… not really a downside if she can do all that.

How come GA being tied to an ally is not a downside of the ability?

Also you are doing the same dishonest thing you are always do when talking about Mercy. You list the good things about her and leave her downsides out of the conversation. You can’t just look at one ability and then claim that this is too strong/too weak. You need to look at the hero as a whole.

Because I can do the same… How come you can’t headshot a hamster? OP
Why tracer has such small hitbox with ability to blink thrice? OP
Why sombra has infinite stealth? OP
Why genji can reset his dash on elim? OP
Why winton has a gun that hits everyone in a cone? OP
Why Hanzo has sonic that give him walls? OP

And so on…

You want to call ability being to strong by asking “why she is allowed to do it”. And this is dishonest, since you ignore the rest of her kit and downsides that come with each ability!

You can say mobility is Ball and Tracer’s main form of defense.

Both recall and Adaptive shields have 8 seconds on cooldown.

Yet optimally they need to hover around others just like Mercy.

SO? None of this implies that Mercy is too strong…

And it is cute that you mention cooldown of their abilities that are NOT their main movement ability… Because to be fair you’d need to compare them to Mercy’s ability that is not GA (resurrection)… And CD on resurrection is 30s, not 8s…

What is CD between blinks hm? Or cooldown on Changing in to a ball form?

Tell me, can you be honest for once when it comes to Mercy?

It’s SO dumb how her mobility is… she’s tracer and genji combined in terms of her mobility.

They HAVE to tone it down somehow. There is no way around it.

I swear people on this forum look for any reason to complain about the only role that keeps them alive. She’s a 200HP squishy hero with no burst damage. Actual skill issue if this is too difficult for anyone to play against.

Take someone who barely plays Mercy vs someone who put in many hours on her. There’s a difference as there should be with any hero invested. Doom can have stupid good movement across the map, but that doesn’t many anyone who picks him up pull that off. Same goes for Tracers who can one clip and get away. A good Mercy player is going to know how to use her movement to survive, shocker.

If mercy lost her movement then she would probably have a more powerful heal, boost or rez.

68 hps is not a joke…which turns to potentially 300 hps during Valk for 15 full seconds.

Lacking?! Bro…not even counting her support passive which can prov due to this movement…when that procs…its healing mercy for 28 hps while she’s still tapping into 55.

So she is doing 83 hps.

It’s their main form of defense AND offense!

Mercy doesn’t have that offense part of her kit. Her mobility is defensive in 99% of cases.

And 300 in valk if and only if all 5 playeres take damage… And at a rate that can’t kill through 60 hp/s heals…

She heals 55 hp/s and 60hp/s in valk… PERIOD.

Unless you want to talk about “every one at my team shoots at different target and I don’t back any one up with focus fire” which is literally a skill issue on your part!

Factoring self healing into her total hps instead of how much she heals her allies only is so intellectually dishonest I don’t even know where to start.

Mercy heals others for 55 HPS

Her passive is ~14 HPS + 15 from the support passive means she can heal herself at 29HPS, witch is if she isnt taking damage and healing someone who has taken damage.

She is lacking, LW heals more then her

Lucio heals himself more then mercy does since he doesnt rely on others to be damaged to do it

This can be said with any hero that may be overperforming. The issue here is the ease of getting value. If that’s the case, give Genji his 8 sec blade and damage back…because only the best players will get value out of it… right?

Ana with Biotic Grenade and Support passive does 450 hps, much higher than Mercy. Let’s nerf Ana.
