Mercy's Gun Damage

Okay hear me out, I don’t think Mercy should do loads of damage on her gun. Like I get why it’s low damage but like why is it LESS than a normal melee ? Normal melee is 30 damage, Mercy’s P gun does 20 damage. It’s still a gun it should at least do the same amount as a normal melee rather than 10 damage less. Like wut ??

Logic doesn’t apply much anyway.
It’s mostly due to the fact it fires 5 shots in a second so yeah.

He gun is pretty good actually if you surprise people it can do alot to kill. Its not good for 1v1 people which is fine because she shouldnt be doing that anyway

DPS what matter, her gun can do more amount of dmg in long term.

Yaa for sure esp squishy targets like widow when she’s hard scoped. My inner battle Mercy wants to snap necks though hahaha

Most guns do less damage per hit than a punch in this game. Most guns also fire far faster than how often you can quick melee.

quick fire rate and no drop off > up close 30 dmg melee

Mercy might only do 20 per bullet, but she still has 100 dps. Melee is 30 dps. It’s fine.

Wrecking Balls gun does only 5 damage! You literally need to shoot 6 times to do quick melee damage!

What even is your logic in this complaint? I cant find any. Because of the pistol’s fire rate, it is objectively better at killing than spamming quick melee.

You do realize it fires much faster than one can melee and has range so your comparison is kind of silly?

the thing I cant figure out is how a giant superstrong gorilla like Winston does the same melee damage as a skinny tiny human girl like Baby Dva
