Mercy win rate about to pass all the “op” supports

It almost never works out for me. Then again, I main Tracer, so pretty much everything will one shot me is I peek.

And we run a rush dive mix so we can easily push them away

I always assumed Mercy was OP in the metal ranks and Ana was op in the higher ranks. I think they should remove Mercy damage boost and revert her super jump changes and nerf Ana nade. They could give other abilities to compensate but at this point Blizzard would just make them both op again.

So why is her win rate the highest then?

Symmetra has the highest winrate in the DPS roster. This is why we don’t listen to Golds on balance discussions.

It isn’t??

Brig, Lucio, Illari or Zen are the ones that have higher winrates than her. And when we get to GM Bap also joins in the mix.

Her winrates are at about 50%-where the should be for a so-so hero.

I saw numerous midfight Rezs during OWL matches, let’s not pretend Mercy isn’t getting away with them a couple/few times a match on ladder. You’re exaggerating bad.

Enormous exaggeration. Valk isn’t about to 55 to 60 healing boost, it’s the fact you hit everyone with it while getting free-flight, so more frequently it jumps her healing from 55hps to 240hps total, a team wide 20% damage boost, or killing a problematic squishy or two.

Bap Window can certainly be situationally strong, but rarely is your team isn’t getting full use out of it due to it being immobile while Valk boosts follow your team.

I see this sentiment a lot, and I disagee for ladder play. Suzu is anticipated with a small timing window and small AoE, there is no saving people from crazy burst damage or being out of position. Rez on the other hand can be used up to 10s later, and brings them back at full health.

Not saying Suzu is a weak ability, but Rez is stronger when it lands. For every perfect Suzu to cancel Shatter there’s a dozen wasted splashing a few tenths of a second too late.

Uh yeah, which is why Mercy is known for having the bottom of the barrel PR for the last 4 years…

Not necessarily, there’s games where there is flat out nothing to cleanse.

Plus you are comparing terrible suicidal Rezs to perfect Suzu usage on cooldown, which is just a pipe dream.

you are supposed to use window selfishly, og bap window was smaller too to prove it. You use it to 1v1 enemy dps. it actually infuriates me when a tank walks back, giving up free space, just to use it when its meant for me or my backline

It’s prob because kiri bap and ana have too much offensive potential to attack the enemy team. Mercy’s pistol isn’t nowhere near reliable.

Also she’s not annoying to play against because she doesn’t fight.

I hate having mercies on my team this season. They mostly just afk pocket or spam healing to the “safest” player

LOL Mercy does not have more utility than Kiri and Bap

There are games where resurrect isn’t possible as well. Or the couple that are attempted end in death for Mercy, repeated death for her target, both dying, or someone else Mercy could have healed dying because Mercy was locked out.

And no, the comparison is just for successfully completed resurrect casts. Which across all ranks averages 4-5+, and accounts for ALL resurrect attempts, suicidal or otherwise. Some good, some bad, some suicidal, some magical, all ranks, 4-5+ average. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. But still, a number that can’t even manage to approach 10 across an entire match.

Kiri, Bapt, Ana, (etc.) are all throwing out more utility abilities than Mercy can resurrect, and with less threat to their own health in doing so. They also aren’t limited to dead bodies like resurrect or such a long cool-down.

It’s game sense and game knowledge

Edit: miss click in phone you know

Why is her win rate so high? Think about it a little bit. If you don’t listen to golds or anyone below GM you won’t be able to play this game anymore so better start doing it or move on to another game.

Yes, it does
I main support and suzu surely saves people from burst dmg and out of position
You wouldn’t believe how many junkrat tires I’ve stopped with suzu alone
And we don’t talk about bapt, cause or been maining him hard just because lamp really helps me to dps more

Because she’s a generalist with a pickrate low enough not to artificially force down the winrate. Raw data means nothing when you don’t know how to read it.

Yes, because the devs will banish me for only listening to people that know how to play

She’ll always have a high winrate as long as people ignore her. I bet you guys have has a game this very day where a Mercy resurrected someone in your teams face

Not you specifically, everybody. The game will die if people below GM stop playing. The servers will be closed. You don’t have to listen to people below GM if you don’t want to, but just know that you are only able to play the game because of us. Without us there is no game. So just be grateful or stop playing. If you don’t like how Mauga is balanced for GMs and that’s preventing you from enjoying the game then taking a break might be a good idea.

Her win rate is not “raw data”. It’s aggregated data from millions of people. It’s not that hard to read it, it means people win games while playing her. If you dig into it deeper you’ll probably find that her win rate is high at lower levels because people are less able to counter her and she can dominate games. My guess is her pick rate is low at higher ranks which imo would mean that she’s not well balanced for these ranks.

The game has been balanced around GMs for 7 years. People aren’t going to start leaving now.

It literally is raw data. It’s how often Mercy on public accounts wins vs how often she loses. Zero context.

If you have a problem with Mercy, you suck at the game. Focus on improving rather than bashing a skill check hero.
