Mercy, what is your opinion

I think she is fun and viable. Valkyrie, though uncreative, is a pretty flexible ult you can be surprisingly lethal with the unlimited ammo and mobility.
As for Rez, old Rez was a REALLY ANNOYING, UNFUN, ABILITY. The current version is at least thrilling to pull off in risky situations and not annoying to play against.

Cos they don’t play soldier…?

However i did that as an example of an ult I don’t like in some post somewhere…

So um theres been a issue ever since Valkyrie rework. And that is Rez is not mappable. Now i now people are gonna say that im wrong but i have yet to see the proof that it is mappable.
And since its not mappable and is mapped with Angelic Descent. Well sometimes this can cause issues when you are trying to GA away from enemies or a fight or to team mates and you use AD for the extra speed or boost in distance.
You will be trying to move in a certain direction when suddenly you are stun locked into rezzing and that gives the enemy team a free kill. potentually losing the game becuase of a unintended action/bug.

Remember this has been in the game since valkyrie has been introduced and it still has not been addressed. And it has been the biggest bug with Mercy
There are plenty of other bugs with Mercy but this is the biggest.

Opinion: A watered down version of Valkyrie on cool down should move to her E ability - it should allow her to fly and chain heal/boost for 3-5 seconds on a cool down.

Get rid of her infinite ammo ability part of Valk - of all characters to have this ability included in an ult, a Support like her is a questionable choice - give that to Soldier 76 or something.

Resurrect as it is now should be removed entirely. If Res stays, I still think a multi res mechanic would be the most enjoyable to have in the game again (with caveats).

Her new ult should be something worthy of calling an ult.

They are for the other rework(light), delete valkyria and put the rez as ultimate(not necessarily the mass rez). But at least return to 60 hps that are essential to make it viable.

She’s fine in her current state. But, it would be overall beneficial for her and the game if Resurrection was removed completely and replace with a different E move and maybe a buff to her base healing and Valk.

I’d like to see an E ability that’s a combination of cleanse and a HoT (Heal over Time) that can stack with Mercy’s beam for a short burst heal effect, or be put on someone who keeps running away from their own healer.

The cleanse aspect would topple Ana’s overbearing dominance and give the game a second counter to cc (the first being Zarya’s projected bubble). It would clear any cc that’s currently on the target, and provide cc resistance (-50% duration on cc timers) for the remainder of the ability. The heal over time (probably around 50hps) would give Mercy a backup heal outside of rez.

I’d call the ability ā€œCureā€.

I want Mercy removed from the game, actually I want every Support and Tank removed, DPSWatch is the best Overwatch.

Mercy is in a perfect state, does not need change at all.

Because mercy 1.0 was demoralising and unfair to play against and mercy 2.0 was somehow much worse and yet still plagued us for the most part of a year.

I and many others might not find that to be fun at all, though, since we enjoy (and even prefer) using Valkyrie and single rez

Could use an ult buff, besides that she’s perfect.

She’s fine and boring.

Not really underpowered, just not as useful in tank heavy comps. Buff her now and she will be a monster when the meta changes again. It’s okay for her to be slightly behind right now; but she holds her own.

Despite everything she’s been through, she’s still viable.

I won’t say everyone would like it, but don’t worry. Blizzard ignored the massive numbers of people who didn’t want Valk to go live in the first place and have kept it despite massive protest so you’re not in any danger of Mass Rez coming back. More’s the pity. I wish they’d cared about what people who wouldn’t and didn’t find Valk fun wanted. Too late for that now tho

OW needs someone who can Res a teammate…our only problem is to find the best solution…

God forbid you need to think about when you use your ultimate…? I’m sorry, but we really don’t need to lower her skill ceiling any further. And this is coming from someone who mains her.

I mean… It already is. Using your pistol in Valk is actually a good idea in multiple scenarios. If they buff any aspect of her pistol, they need to put a limit on her ammo.

This is what I would like to see. Her ultimate wouldn’t have to be as watered down due to Rez (which is way too powerful as an ability imo). Valk has its own set of issues, though.

I think that Mercy’s damage boost should also boost movement speed by 15%.

Unless it’s Tracer/Genji who already have a permanent 10% passive buff to their movement speed, in which they only get a 5% boost.

It would give Mercy a serious choice between ā€œdo I use damage boost or heal?ā€, instead of the answer automataically being ā€œhealā€ unless everyone’s already topped off. Damage boost has always felt like ā€œthat thing you do to kill time until someone needs healingā€, and I think it should be more flexible than that.

15% would make any hero just barely faster than Tracer/Genji’s walking speed. It would be useful for kiting/anti-kiting, getting allies to cover faster, or Mercy’s own survival vs someone trying to chase her down. (Note: the speed bonus would only apply to walking speed, not any movement abiltiies).

Lucio would still be the king of speed boost, but his monopoly on the utility has made him a must-pick in organized settings for the game’s entire lifetime. He needs some competition.

Mercy would be a good choice, because there’d be a lower chance of teams just picking ā€œLucio+Mercyā€ for max speed. They don’t synergize nearly as well as other healer teamups (e.g. Lucio+Moira or Mercy+Zenyatta), and their overall designs are best suited for completely different comps (Lucio for deathball, Mercy for dive) .

Check out my idea for a Mercy rework.
