I can confidently say I have never won a game by swapping to Mercy… It just makes no sense to put our best player on a pacifist.

I’m actually starting to think my mindset is more in line with support. Mercy is always a more popular hero with my team, like the song says.

It also feels good when we win, knowing I’m a part of that. Widow, on the other hand, has to do so much just to get value. Even when you’re doing well, Widow is seldom appreciated.

playing Mercy will make you better at playing Widow, and vice-versa.

Understanding who you’re up against or who’s with you and their limits help you play with them. You’re certainly a better Mercy for deep down in your brain knowing that if you’re on Widow’s line of sight you’re pretty much dead. In a way, all those hours of Widowmaking certainly made it worth your while.

At the same time, knowing Mercy, as a Widow, will help you understand what she’s doing next, in your team or the other. “Hm… That’s a good timing for a Rez, I think she’s going for it” and BAM. Dead. Or “Oh, looks like Reaper will camp this body. Time to give Mercy some cover so that she can Rez”.

For me it was the learning to fly as Mercy and yesterday it clicked and omg it’s such a game changer, took me a while but I finally got there.

Playing Mercy well and keeping your team alive is such a rewarding experience. Theres nothing quite like the feeling! :smiling_face_with_tear:

When I play Mercy, I always try to outheal my Support teammate. Its so fun :smiley:

Should have joined the evil bandwagon of Ana mains. That way you’re a sniper support! See it as extra practice for when you go back to Widowmaker.
