I haven’t seen Mercy players using Superjump with Rez, so I wanted to make a quick video showcasing it
Thanks for sharing.
Must be 20 characters
I’ve seen this posted here a couple months back and I still struggle to do it ngl
I’ve failed numerous times and have given up.
posting exploits on the forums is not allowed.
It’s been in the game for months. if they considered this an exploit it would have been removed by now, just like all the other “exploits” such as glitching through maps.
Been trying this, usually mess it up
She has a lot of mechanics such as “canceling” Rez without triggering her cooldown
There is a small window you can move out of the Rez aoe where you can halt the Rez
Do other mercies do this?
No
But it is possible
It’s not an exploit though
*advanced technique
And they are allowed
I tried doing this before but it cancelled the Rez. Might practice it later. Thanks for sharing!
They showcased a “how to” Superjump video on OWL.
Pretty sure no devs would allow their multi-million dollar e-sport to showcase or provide instructions to an exploit to viewers.
But hey, maybe I’m not familiar with the Blizz way.
Played in one match with a enemy mercy that was also doing a shimmy shake along with this move. Very hard to stop that res on console.
I thought this was impossible to do. Interesting
doing a shimmy shake? xD
Months? Ever since Mercys movement tech was considered a feature (a month or two after the day Valk came to live, september 23 i think, Superjump and all of its variations have been in the game.
Its been discussed in OWL, its been around for like 2 years now, blizzard knows superjump is there and they arent going to remove it from the game because its what they want.
The super jump res technique is best practiced in a private game with a friend. Go to Oasis City Center, have your friend die on the edge of the cars between the road and grass and practice super jumping while ressing with no CD.
This will give you the most efficient ability to practice it.
Another favorite map to practice it on for me is Illios Well. Get two friends (one as an enemy) to go to the room right below the lighthouse or windmill thing and die. Practice super jumping a res and get on the high ground. If you can super jump and get onto the high ground part, that gives you both perspective on how high you can super jump without it canceling, and it is a nice practice in-game I’ve done multiple times.
Super jump resurrects are very niche, but can DEFINITELY come in handy as a last ditch effort if you believe that Resurrect could be what turns the fight around. If you get it off, it makes Mercy more unpredictable and harder to kill, and it can res the target while keeping you alive, whereas a standard Resurrect would kill you.
I wouldn’t give up, as it is extremely beneficial on 2CP or certain maps like Illios Well and could save your entire push/the game.
Would be nice if they re-introduced Brigitte’s back into the game since she’s not OP anymore, and it uses two cooldowns at once…
Its hard. Ive been playing Mercy ever since she got changed and essentially have been working on my movement tech since. (about 1200-1400 hours)
Its hard to pull off, but once you understand how GA Superjump actually works it should be simple. Ill try and explain it.
The animation of Superjump is basically when you do a GA croutch, right?
Now, when you reach your target, Mercy’s model bobs down. Like kind of in the shape of a parabola. (it looks like this basically https://www.desmos.com/calculator/i7myseo3vn
)
Now, when Mercy is at her lowest point in the animation, this is when you can press SPACEBAR and you will go to her MAX GA height.
If you press spacebar earlier in the animation, say at like y=1 rather than y=0 then Mercy will not go as high.
To stay in range of Res you need to find that sweet spot where you can Superjump and not fly out of it, and for this example you could consider it 1.
Id actually like that. It increased her skill ceiling a lot, but it was too much because her self sustain was too high at the time. But i could see it working now.
