Mercy still has better healing than any other support

This is true, Mercy still is the go to healer for raw power healing. You know why? Because she is the support that does the most healing over time. Even check the stats she still has the best healing stats even with her nerf.

Excluding Moira

Edit: Never mind

Mercy has the highest consistent healing not the highest healing.
Both Moira and Ana have higher healing.

Mercy is picked for Rez and her consistency in healing, utility and staying alive.
Moira is picked for Raw healing power.

She has better healing than her too.

Check the stats, she still has the better healing of the two.

Moira is kind of a niche healer though.

Mercy: 50HPS
Moira: 70HPS
Ana: ~75HPS

These are the stats.

Mercy is more consistent, giving her a slightly higher average per game but she does not have higher healing than Moira or Ana.

Mercy has 50HPS but doesn’t need to stop or reload or to stock up on healing, She also has the best range for healing in the sense she has the easiest time getting to people to heal them. She also has an ult just for chain healing as well as an escape ability.
Moira can only healing within a small range with her only range for healing has to be chose over her dmg orb which helps for more dmg or more healing for her resource meter.
Ana has to reload along with has to wait a while before she has to reload there is also a big problem Ana is not a mobile healer but relies on sight lines to heal. She also has to hit her targets to heal which means she wont always give that much healing over time
You can’t just talk raw stats because thats not the only thing about that character. Each character has something else with their character so like Ana, she has high healing but has to reload and has to wait before shooting again.

And?

What was the point of this thread?

Facts are fun.

The mechanics of their healing don’t change the numbers, though; I’ve seen plenty of reports from all those game stat sites showing that Moira and Ana consistently dish out more healing during a game. That’s just like, a numbers thing. If you want to talk about consistency talk about consistency, but don’t confuse one word for another - consistent healing and who does the MOST healing is not the same thing. If you want to talk potential healing output, characters like Ana and Moira have the potential to give out more healing than Mercy overall because their abilities work in ways that allow them to dish out huge amounts of burst healing (nade and shooting, orb and spray combos) whereas Mercy has a consistent output.

Imagine it’s like a waterfall - Mercy is a consistent stream, whereas Ana and Moira have geysers at the top that have the potential to make it absolutely pour. It’s just… Different.

The more recent stats show that Mercy is healing more now.

This sound familiar, I wonder why?

Mora actually has quite a hefty range on her healing and it’s group healing which can make that stat even higher. Her damage orb also doesn’t contribute to her resource, it just doubles her DPS from 50 to 100. Mercy’s beam is longer, yes but Moira can output more at once.

Once again, this is why Mercy has her niche of consistency and survivability. Every healer relies on sight lines to heal, just Ana does more than most because she can’t heal through damaged targets. And Ana applies her heal over the course of a second which is coincidentally how long it should take her to pump her next shot into her target.

However, my point was Moira was picked for output, not Ana.

Make up your mind, do you want the stats or not?

The inherent problem is that despite technically healing the highest, that is essentially all she is doing whereas every other character is actively doing something else. So the point is sort of moot in any context other than ogling stats.

Yes.

YES.

YES.

This, OP, is exactly what I mean. Most =/ Consistent

Exactly this. She’s the only character limited to doing a single action; so she should inherently be the best healer. It’s game mechanics 101, if a character is focused on a singular thing it’s usually the best character at that single thing over the other characters who are more jack of all trades.

Interesting. Why Lucio’s healing done is pretty much inversely proportional to the SR?

Higher SR tends to value character utility over everything else, whereas lower ranks are less organized.

You mean these stats?

OP’s claim is blatantly false, and most likely based on Overbuff’s “this month” stats instead of “this week”. “This month” still includes old data.

Mercy: 50 hp/sec
Moira: 80 hp/sec for each target for up to 5 targets, not including biotic orb
Ana: 93.75 hp/sec between reloads or 82.68 sustained including reloads

Those links lead to pages showing stats representing all data currently accessible to Overbuff, the vast majority of which is from back when Mercy had 60 hp/sec healing. Those numbers do not represent Mercy’s current state.

They do not. See above images in my post.

Because in high SR games, team fights are more organized and speed boost helps end them faster when everyone cooperates. Shorter fights = less time spent healing.
