It just feels wrong. Her staff is the main reason why she is able to “glide” toward a friendly target. Her pistol is nothing more than a weapon. Her pistol cannot “tether” to a frendly target like her staff. She should not be able to use gaurdian angel when her pistol is out.

So I guess McCree can borrow Mercy’s pistol and “glide” to enemy targets? Mercy’s pistol is just a weapon just like any other. It should not give the ability to “glide” to any target.

It’s her suit, not her staff, not her pistol, that allows her to zoom to allies or fall slowly.
As said in the last thread. Her staff has no bearing on GA’s usability, if it’s limited in the future to do so either her pistol or self sufficient survivability will need a buff to give her a better shot at surviving a duel. They can be lackluster now as she’s free to flee as soon as an ally marker is in sight.

I don’t believe that. Without her staff the suit would not work. She needs to point her staff at a friendly target to “initiate” the glide. Without the staff her suit is just a winged garbage can.

she take rein hammer and glide for I care, no where that I can find that the staff is what allows mercy to fly and glide even on official websites the description of the staff says the heal strengthen or resurrect her team.
and even if somehow the staff was allowed to fly, it will be bad design to lock an integrel abillity to a characters kit just because they want to defend themselves

The staff and the suit work together. One cannot work without the other. It just makes sense. If lore shows she can glide without the staff they are wrong.
No she does not, as I pointed out in a thread to you yesterday. Lookt at the icon for GA its a set of wings her staff has nothing to do with it. Stop trolling.

have you thought that the ability named “guardian angel” in which you fly to a friendly has more to do with the wings and not the weapon…
