It’s too fast. Increase the duration to rez. Rez is too strong of an ability for her to be able to pull it off so quickly

I dont see any good reason to nerf a power that gets used on average ~4 times a match
Particularly when said power belongs to a character that is imo one of the weakest in the game

Rez is hardly even used in its current form. It’s pulled off successfully like 3-5 times in a typical “non-comp” length game (e.g., QP)? So it’s not that game-swaying of an ability.
If you nerf the cast time, then to compensate, the cooldown time needs to be buffed. Enforced thirty seconds between rezzes already makes the ability very ineffective and dissuading for Mercy players to use. Not to mention an even longer cast time will limit its practicality to uses during downtime between team fights, an action which becomes essentially pointless when the other team is also respawning and regrouping. There simply is no benefit to bring your own player back from the dead when they can huff it back from spawn at the same time—or sooner—than the time enemy will take to return and reengage.

Mercy has been nerfed ALOT. You can’t nerf her more without just killing her. You think her rez is strong now? Imagine back when she had no movement speed decrease and she ressed 5 teammates at the same time.

I play a lot of Mercy. I also closely watch a lot of Mercy.
Most rezzes that get completed in open field are because enemy dps have terrible game sense and neglect to shoot Mercy in the face. The number of times my tank dies and then the enemies just walk away (instead of camping the tank’s body) is uncountable.
That said, one can certainly argue that rezzes in backline feel a bit unfair, but if Mercy is all the way back there rezzing, she’s not up front healing anybody. Still, if a flanker gets a backline pick, it’s crazy how often they just leave instead of camping the body, knowing Mercy is going to rez if nobody is there.

Except you’re wrong.
Mercy’s average rezzes per 10mins have been at 4 for a while now.
That amounts to a rez every 2.5 minutes.
If you let a Mercy rez every 30s, you are doing sth very wrong.

first, there isnt necessarily a dead corpse around to be ressurrected at each 30 second mark
second, good Mercy players will evaluate the risk to reward ratio of a given rez opportunity. Many choose to not rez because it is simply too risky. As such, the average number of rezzes in a match is around 4

They need to buff Resurrect considerably so it’s better when used on DPS/Supports, but have some kind of mechanic to make it worse on Tanks.
5v5 with Giga-buffed Tanks has made Mercy’s Rez way too effective when used on the Tank compared when it’s used on the DPS/Supports.
i hope they make it apply to the zenyatta if you manage to make it bounce off a wall by hiding behind it or genji deflect
genji does have one kryptonite character that i know of currently which is moira ive never seen a gejni be able to deflect orb of discord
They could nerf it so that the rez target comes back on 2/3 health instead of full. That would give the devs more leeway to adjust the rest of her kit.
It’s also an awareness issue if you can’t see a character that’s bathed in golden light pretty much all the time.
Keep the duration but require LoS for the duration and smaller range. It’s crazy some of the rezes she can pull off while flying up on a bridge or going behind the wall. Anyone looking at this objectively would think it is completely bugged.
Or even better, move it to her ult where it belongs and give her some other utility on her E.
If its not a direct buff to mercy it is met with just complaints. The fact is the only real grp of ppl who play this game are mercys hence why you see them on both teams every game. But theyll come on here cryin about how bad she is lol.

the only character where ur teammates will cry and slur at u to swap bc shes useless yet the enemy cries for her nerfs bc shes broken !!! (except nobody claims shes broken in high ranks bc… shes not even good and even when she is good she cant do anything herself the character has zero agency in the game)… also all u have to do is say “care for rez” and watch in that general direction for the next ten seconds or have even a slight brain to know where she can rez from and deny it… or just shoot her and hit ur shots and call it out when she IS rezzing… if she rezzes behind a wall then most of the time thats ur own fault bc u shouldve thought about that possibility and been ready for it… like 20% of rezzes mercy gets off are actually bc of the player and not just bc the enemy misplays… idk if u play the game correctly mercy cant do much as we see in pro play where ppl play the game correctly and mercy is only ever picked because of another character not bc of herself even… mercy would be picked BC OF pharah etc…

well ive played supp for like 7 years at this point and the highest mercy rez per 10 ever was was season 6 of ow1 and it was 6 rezzes per 10 minutes avg for high rank mercys since ive been top 500 / gm since then… now i see mostly 4 rezzes per 10 mins avg… now lets also factor in brainless mercy players half of those r probably being rezzed into 5 ppl and dying again instantly so… i mean you were close !!! not rly… but… yeah
