if you are on 2nd point defending and you want an instant cool down on rez after you die:
Switch off mercy then re switch and bam : you get your cool down back
if u use rez and dont die:
go back to spawn switch characters than go back to mercy

This has always been a thing and you lose Ult charge for it. And considering Ults take longer to charge it’s more significant.
Also having another Rez off cooldown doesn’t guarantee that you can successfully pull it off.

This is only useful if you use valk and fail a rez. Otherwise, it’s not really worth it since you can get it back by the time you walk back from spawn.

more funny is doing this if you can see a enemy from spawn as Ana, if you can land a sleep dart, you can make sure they can never wake up.
You may have just used Valk.
I do this all the time. Considering Resurrect is more of an ultimate than valkyrie imo. The only thing i use valkyrie for is saving it for like a genji ult not to heal but so i can just fly away and even then i can just super jump. I see valkyrie more of as a cooldown and i get it way more often than rez. you can get valkyrie in 20 seconds versus the 30 for rez.

Has always been an “exploit” everyone can do it with every ability that has cooldowns.
Do it with zero ult-charge.

I know some Mercy players who do this simply because they get more value from Rez over Valk. A lot I know of tend to treat Valk like a cooldown.
So it’s really up to them if they get more value from Rez they may not care about loosing ult charge.
While those who get more value from Valk may not care about a botched Rez as much.

of course it sounds stupid because you dont know how much value you can get out of rez
…Then you will lose because it’s a 5v6 while you’re doing that.
Unless the other team is just awful at DPS (which, in this case I doubt because you’re trying to exploit a rez on a dead hero) you’re better off actually healing your team for the 30 seconds it takes for the cooldown.
8 other people agree with you that it takes 30 seconds to get from spawn back to 2nd defense point on every map in the game.
