Mercy New Ability Idea

With the new DPS Passive (which basically has 100% uptime at all times in teamfights), a hero like Mercy who only really offers her consistent single traget healing took a bigger hit than others, especially since she doesn’t really benefit from the hitbox buffs either…

Her healing was already barely above bad and now it’s consistently bad.

She was already very bad at healing big health pools and now she is bad at healing altogether…

I propose a new ability on her “Reload” button when currently equipped with the Caduceus Staff.

(NEW) Triage

  • increases Mercy’s healing by 5-10hp/s on her main beam target for 4s (debatable)
  • upon activation instantly applies the Triage effect on the main beam target at that time
  • allies effected by Triage are cleansed of healing reduction effects and immune for the next 4s
  • 11s cooldown (starts upon activation)

Note: just to make it very clear, Triage is only ever on a single target!

Valkyrie

  • upon activation refreshes Triage’s cooldown

I really like how you put up an actual viable and soft rework without destroying everything in between, while keeping the character’s essence

This was so much better than the other guy that proposed vertically dropping some sort of AoE healing stuff on ground impact while flying like a bird taking a dump in the morning

And all teammates picking up the poo like little baby birds xD

I’ll take that the same ability swaps its state when going Battle Mercy for still reloading the weapon

Not gonna lie, this is overwhelmingly good

And not too invasive like an idea best suit for another new hero

I like this idea - also, when we activate blue spaghetti, can the target get a soft aim lock for like 5s? No one seems to hit anything so it’s useless unless you get a random who can hit things (which isn’t a lot of the time, honestly unless you hard pocket.)

Or can we make blue spaghetti effect deployables and turrets again? That might be better than aimlock, we all know everyone hates it. Unless it does and I just don’t pay attention, I thought they took it away but maybe not.

Thx, I think it would elevate her skill ceiling even if ever so slightly and allow her to be effective even with the DPS Passive remaining powerful.

I’d argue her blue beam remains the strongest part of her kit even without being a pocket.

Don’t forget, Mercy controls who to boost.
If ur dps is bad, boost someone else that hits their shots, even of that happens to be ur Sigma or Baptiste lmao.
