Don’t get me wrong–I like the new Mercy skin, very excited to get it–but why does she say “Heroes Never Die”? It doesn’t make sense. Is this an oversight?

that depends, where did you hear it? bc voice lines for mythic skins are kinda weird and the cool voice is only client side, everyone else in the lobby hears the normal voice. It’s probably the case that her ult voice line is unchanged for the enemy team but says something different for allies like Wargod Ana.
Or maybe its actually just unchanged and im assuming something false about where you heard it
Same reason Doomfist still utters his Pro-Talon and Pro-Conflict spiel despite wearing Strike Commander Legendary.
Skins have little effect on existing dialogue, especially ones that are clearly meant to warning indicators.
There’s a “Try out” option in the shop, I assume they tested it there like I did.
She has some Vengeance voicelinea, but IDK if it’s glitched or what but most I was getting were default Mercy lines.
It is mildly disappointing, but the Rez animation is sick and the beams look great so…

Blizz should really have a suggestion box for ideas like this. I bet the game would sell a whole lot more stuff.

Well at least there is a different variation of seaside run highlight if you are using Mercy’s Mythic skin…

Yes, that’s where I tried it. And the rez animation is AMAZING. Love the beams, love the sounds, everything is very cool… except for the ult voice line. 
Cause Talon has their own heroes too. Don´t discriminate towards evil people.

At the risk of giving people false hope: sometimes the skins don’t always release alongside custom voicelines. For example, the Mandalorian Bap skin had the default voicelines to start with, the skin-specific stuff was added later. So maybe season ten’s thematic voice lines will be added in later?

But not usually Mythic skins, what they say is almost always changed during the ult, especially if they are giving the skin a story like Sigma’s mythic for example, Doomfists skin is just legendary, maybe if they had come out with two Mythics and gave Doomfist one too it would also be expected that his ultimate line would change to fit the narrative they are trying to make. It just gives the skin a bad aftertaste in my opinion that its Mythic and it wasn’t changed.

That does sound weird. Doesnt widow say villains cant hide from my sight?
It should be something like
“Villains rise again”
this has happened for several mythics, I assume Mercy will get more voicelines at a later date
