It was confirmed by the trailer… But Reddit, we did it!
In all seriousness, Hawnu was correct. This is an awful mythic skin. I feel bad for them. They waited all of this time for one of the worst mythics we have ever seen. Even Omnic Ana was better… Somehow?
Shame. I had more hope in mythic theme for Mercy.
I feel like we Mercy players will get now another wave of hate, because “it was not our turn to get skin”.
We always have to deal with bs like this…
It would not surprise me. People come up with the strangest arguments to justify their beliefs. I have already seen people calling Mercy mains ungrateful because they did not enjoy the aesthetic. Nobody was saying that about any other mythic skin. But when it is Mercy…
Mercy has the biggest playerbase and it’s impossible to please everybody here,I’m seeing a lot of love for it aswell (including from me).
It reminds me of Dragon. Back when that skin was teased, it was a Civil War. Everyone against everyone, chaos. I doubt we will ever reach that peak again. Mercy has been eating good, so I doubt many people will be THAT upset. And this IS the season where you can just pick another one if this one bothers you. That’s great news. They could not have picked a better season for that feature.
I don’t want to be on the place of the ppl who fearlessly tried to stand they ground in defense of it not being a mythic xD
Needs mustard. I’ve been spoiled by Warframe customization, so not impressed.
But the wings during valk though
I hate it. As a skin, it would be fine, as mythic - it´s not. Moira Mythic is also ruined for me.
Mythic skins keep getting worse in design or maybe I’ve got bad taste.
Why is it not fine as a mythic? I assume it will check all the boxes, has some customization, different visual and audio effects. I understand you don’t personally like it, but it is a mythic just like all the others.
Everyone has different taste. Some people loves skins others dislike, and vice versa.
Personally I think the moira one is one of the best. And genji is by far the worst.
Not exactly.
Mythic skin started as something, that was somehow connected to the hero.
But with support skins I feel like they stopped doing that and just pick a random theme, that is in no way connected to that hero.
I always wanted blackwatch or Talon Mercy legendary skin, but I had bigger expectations for mythic, than just random theme, that has nothing to do with Mercy.
Heck…when I see Kiriko or JQ godesses skins - I was hoping for some Valkyrie god - like mythic. One of the settings could have been the dark valkyrie theme, that people were asking for since OW1, another settings could have been Tyrael - like angel from Diablo - another thing people were asking for ages.
Making her mythic into some angel - valkyrie with light and dark theme included would be the mythic living to my image of “Mercy mythic”.
I guess some skins are related to the hero, others are not. Like why is orisa a bug, Ana a robot, tracer a knight, jq a god.
If it’s just not a theme you like, that is totally valid. It’s a mythic like all the rest tho.
Auriel is the better choice here btw
JQ is a queen, Zeus was a king of the gods - both fighters, both claiming their crown. I can see that connection.
Ana is the example of “support skin mythic went wrong” I mentioned. Orisa is also a dissapointment.
Tracer as knight is fitting to her character, but that´s about it.
Still, Talon Mercy is underwhelming theme.
Underwhelming to you, others will like it. Guess it all comes down to opinion. Other ppl saying they love this seasons skins, and personally outside of the mythic I don’t think I’d use a single one, imo worst season for skins so far.
I´ve seen quite a lot people with the same view.
Still think, that picking a random theme without any context to the hero is just underwhelming in general and not “my opinion”.
Mythic is supposed to be special.
