Mercy mega thread is dead and now the devs have used the forums once since it was abandoned

Before anyone says “mercy mains are annoying the devs are just as annoyed with it as we are” Mercy is a hero in the game they made they don’t get to be ignorant like all of you. They don’t get to let a hero go from OP to worst support.

Didn’t Jeff respond to a bunch of threads a week ago? Isn’t there giant flurry of major gaming events going on right now that it is quite literally their job to attend?

i can excuse them this week and maybe next one too

but come on, hopping on a forums and responding to a thread takes like 1 minute of your time

that’s what I’m referring to maybe think a little

I’m out of likes but this

Can you name any response besides “Revert”" they could give that wouldn’t result in Mercy mains flaming the forums for the next week?

“Were giving it some more time with her recent change and if things still don’t feel alright we will determine a more drastic change” I’d be fine with that.

She’s not the worst support. She just isn’t as good.

We understand Mercy’s state is still a hot topic, In the future we may look into her again, but other heroes with more urgent concerns are our priority.

Not difficult at all

Easy:

we are looking at mercy right now and evaluating her stats, we are currently waiting for the dust to settle so we can look at unbiased stats, we´ll update you on what we think once we get official data but our priority right now is on torb

Yeah! We know that Torb sleeps comfortably now… Really enlightening.

All mega threads either die or devolve into conversations among a tiny group.

That’s the point of mega threads.

So you’re complaining that they haven’t responded in a week? The week before both their korea thing and the largest/second-largest gaming exposition in the world (depending on how you look at it)?

You know planning for these kinds of things takes a tremendous amount of time, right? You know they take a tremendous amount of coordination to get everything working; planning slides, speeches, expected questions, setting up an independent server environment.

I get that people want to hear from the devs, and that they pop in to comment on stuff from time to time, but believe it or not they actually have jobs outside of forum commentary, and this isn’t exactly a lax point of the year for those jobs.

Seriously, even a few weeks after today you might have my sympathy, but this is about as petty as complaining about developer silence on freaking christmas.

… no they don’t actually. It’s a video game it is not that serious. Not giving a response to a hero who’s been OP for a year and is now the worst main healer is not acceptable.

People will still get made. They’ll probably say something about it being a year long thing and demand changes now.

Less people will be mad than they are now though, which is still better

I guess, but they tried that last time, and you hear Mercy mains constantly belly ache about:

Meanwhile this is what happened.

And once again you have Mercy mains freaking out over stats that haven’t had a chance to settle.

“We have heard your concerns about Mercy feeling unfun to play, we are taking a look at it once we have more time to do so.”

Obviously there is no response that makes everyone happy, but some of us on these forums try to be reasonable, contrary to popular belief.

But here’s something you didn’t think about:

If they say revert, there will be angry posts in these forums anyway… Just less likely from Mercy mains. What about that?

They said shes fine and nerfed her healing so you’re entire argument means nothing

“How much more time do you need to see she is BAD!?” I expect responses like this. Or “ the devs still refuse to admit” etc etc
