Put Rez on a 60 second cooldown or remove it. She’ll still be “OP” and by that I mean the most reliable and well designed main healer

I would just change Valkyrie to be higher risk / higher reward and maybe nerf the res outside of the ultimate, tbh.

I don’t really think that she is op.

She is a must pick because she can rez killed enemies, which is the best counter for one-shot meta, but that’s it really.

I think that nerfing her rez would make heroes like Hanzo, or Widow even stronger, because their kills wouldn’t be reverted as easy, and it is not what we want to happen right? :smiley:

Her resurrect cast time is already absolutely ridiculously long. If you can’t kill, stun, or boop a Mercy that’s stationary for nearly two seconds, just admit that you weren’t going to do it anyway–even if she was there for three, four, or whatever stupid length of time you want her to be there. At that point you’re just making Mercy’s already poor QoL even worse for no reason whatsoever.

The resurrect nerf Mercy needs is for it to be an ult again.

mercys res cast time is way too short . even in high elo gm/top500 people cant deal with that, because of certain situations like reloading, or not enough dps etc.

It’s no secret that Resurrect on a cooldown is too powerful. Mercy has no weakness now that she has high mobility, a rez every 30 seconds, and a strong aoe heal in her fast charging ult.

She doesn’t need a nerf, she needs another rework that lowers her overall impact but keeps her fun and balanced.

Resurrect needs to be an ult or removed entirely. Valkyrie needs to go, too. The idea is nice but it turns Mercy into “Jack of all trades, master of all”.

Resurrect needs to go back to ultimate (NOT MASS RES) or be removed entirely and replaced with something else.
Healing in some way needs nerfed (M1 needs LOS etc) something.

She is too reliable/consistant right now.

Mercy is OP which is why I try to take her out as soon as she us on the field. But if the other team is playing a Mercy, then your team should play Mercy and then you are on equal footing. Just because a lot of people do not want to play healer us no reason to continue messing with her.

I’ve seen a suggestion where Mercy’s ult is still Valkyrie. She gains one or two instant Rez charges but she can only rez in Valkyrie. I think Valk would need a small nerf to compensate too (perhaps lowering her aoe healing to 50/s).

This is a common misconception. Mercy’s base kit (healing, GA, Dmg boost) is completely fine. She was balanced with this kit before her rework.

She only began outshining everyone after her rework.

What if she can instant rez in Valk state, but at the cost of her Ult Duration, won’t be able to chain heal after, but at most may be instant pick someone up, during the animation of rez, she can press a button taking all the juice from her Ult. May be locked to anytime before 33% or 66% of ult is left.

Its fine that the easiest healer does the best over-all healing even at high rank where the other healers should outclass her?
She is a low skill ceiling hero, she should be accessible for lower ranks and tapper of at the high end to make room for the more skill intensive heroes.
Not saying she should be useless, just the other healers should be a better pick in more situations.

We already see this with Tracer on the opposite end.
High skill hero, low use at low ranks due to the skill required and slowly gets picked up more and more as you rise through the ranks as people who are skilled can play her. Same with widow.

Whats the point of hero difficulty levels lol

She’s always outhealed the other healers.

This is because Mercy is classed as a pure healer.

This means her kit focus mainly around her healing (dmg boost on the side, rez once in a while).

Ana focuses on healing, damage, clutch antis and sleeping.

Moira also focuses on heavy healing and damage.

She has always been the best at healing what do you even mean? And uuuuh… If you really want her to chill at the low ranks, something we agree on, why not just revert her? With her current model nothing is going to drop her unless you start changing some fundamentals, AKA, a waste of time.

I mean, okay? It sounds kinda clunky but could maybe work out. It isn’t ideal for me, but if anything, it’s pretty alright.

I’m sure they’ll nerf her if you can show any sort of proof about her being OP. Remember that Blizzard doesn’t consider pickrate as a reason to nerf a hero so it’ll have to be some other reason than that and it has to be something concrete and not just a subjective opinion or scenario about something.

Give her 1 instant rez on ult and remove rez as ability.

Done, still viable and powerful but nerfed.

Yes. If you look at when the game came out, Mercy was ALWAYS meant to be the best healer and the only “main” healer. Even so, Lucio and Zen were chosen over Mercy because of how trash her ult was. They had to buff it so many times to make it effective and it was still so bogus that they had to rework it. Mass Rez was not reworked because it was OP but because of how bad it was.

Overall, yes Mercy should always outheal/outclass other healers because thats how the game was originally balanced. Healers should be easy to play, because if they took just about as much skill as it would take to dps why would anyone play support? People want to kill things. Thats why Ana has a low pickrate post nerf. With the skill it takes to play her, you might as well DPS be more impactful and have more fun. MErcy should always remain easy and the best choice as a healer as she is the only support who’s abilities are useless without a teammate. LITERALLY every single one. Try her in deathmatch. The only thing she has to her name is her pistol. She will always be and should always be very easy to play and the best support period.
