Mercy in Stadium is Insane

Its almost like she was made for this mode! The 3rd Person view works so well for her movements and gliding around. And the ability to customize her so she has more Survivability? Brilliant. Then all the abilities to help your teammates? Highly useful.

I feel like Stadium brings out Mercy’s full potential. :innocent: :butterfly: :trophy:

I feel like she’s on the weaker side of the support roster.

Stadium has a lot of hitscan, which can massively limit her movement options.

Soldier alone invalidates most of the current roster, but hits Mercy especially hard.

It forces her to stay grounded and just focus on pumping out healing.

But if you’re going to do that, there are far better options than Mercy.

The problem is that most people never care about Mercy. In my matches almost no one even tries to kill her. She is perma flying, rezzing left and right and yet, everyone just shoots stuff she revives. I don’t know if they do it for the “Money” or if they don’t understand that the enemy team will be permanently stronger if they have not to wait for respawn waves most of the time.

I want to play in your matches then. Every support is public enemy no.1 in my matches. I barely get to play.

I’ve had a few 7 round matches on ana where i get killed so much i never have time to get an ult.

You don’t understand. MY TEAM is never attacking mercy, no matter how visible she is.
If I go mercy or someone else, they are down in 0.2 seconds.

I want to be against your team then.
Sadly there are people who just don’t know what to prioritise, i’ve had those people on my team as well but that’s when i start shooting the supports myself.

They are on the enemy team occasionally, but it’s harder to notice since you’re having more fun because you’re winning.

Weaker yes, but with those Survival Power-Ups, it changes everything for Mercy. Gotta have a strong Tank and at least 1 strong DPS to be Mercy thou.

Destrolock, I really want Wrecking Ball now. I wanna go full Hampter in the Ring! :hamster::facepunch:

I’v been attacked as Mercy mroe in Stadium than any other gamemode.

Sometimes it seems like they ignore my team to go for me ;-;

That is how it should be. If mercy is alive, the whole thing is doomed. If you go for a full fast revival build with mini-ult AND a team that has braincells, you even have someone being canon fodder that tries to die by dot or close to the team, so you can on purpose revive them to be further able to perma ult and boot or heal as needed.

I played Ana once so far…and got dove by the JQ repeatedly.

Mercy is fun … but she’s absolutely behind Juno and Moira. Also Lucio for most of the comps. If anything, Stadium highlights her outdated design of “doing one thing at a time” as all of her good perks attempt to fix exactly this issue. Still not there with having to choose damage vs supporting though.

P.S. Not sure 3rd person on Mercy is that great though - if you’re not healbotting 100%. Not being able to easily see if you have a pistol whipped out easily costs you a critical save as you start shooting your low-HP teammate instead of healing them.

i hate Mercy with a passion, not the players mind you, and hunt her down whenever I see her pompous little face appear in the crowd. Cannot stand this—bi–rchtree

For how disappointed I’ve been in her design from the beginning, I’ve been enjoying a Mercy a ton in Stadium. People sleep on R1 Glass Extra Full considering how strong access to permanent overhealing has historically been for supports in this genre.

On top of that, access to items that bring back/supercharge her GA cancels let her hard focus AD if you have that old school good movement and positioning. There’s still a utility problem, but she’s more able to combat it in this mode through sheer numbers and the increased importance of Res.

If she had some more weapon swap speed, she’d be basically perfect for me lol

My matches rarely go past round 3 or 4. They’re so steamroll heavy for one side or the other. I really enjoy playing Ana in comp when I can’t play my main but in Stadium I haven’t felt a lot of value out of playing her and she gets deleted so easy. I know when I see an Ana on the enemy team it’s like free money. I might get slept or she might purple me but most heroes delete power is so strong that it overwhelms Ana in seconds.

I played Mercy and I will say I was grounded most of the time beam toggling between two teammates so they both got the chained benefit while I was able to stay out of harm’s way behind cover. I don’t even think I got a chance to pull out the blaster because it was smarter to keep the soldier and whoever was near him chain boosted than try to add DPS of my own.

Just going to share a build I found out for mercy that netted me 22k healing in a single round.

Get the item that makes Guardian angel reset the second you crouch or jump.
Get the item that increases guardian angel launch velocity.
Get the perk that makes you heal your target for 4 hp per 1m you travel.

I was healing for more bouncy up and down as mercy than I was with my beam, it was crazy, obviously this only works if the enemy doesn’t have the ability to reliably hit you when airborne unfortunately.

If they have brain cells is the important part, lol.

If I am poking a bit ahead, I will 100% turn tail & run back to my team… and sometimes my chaser is following me. Like, congratulations, you can’t 5 v 1 my team <3

I think the fact that Mercy gets access to extra health + armor means that she can actually use rez too, which opens up so much of her power budget now that she actually has an E ability and can survive risky rezzes a lot more. Tbh tho I think either Renaissance or Crepuscular need a nerf. Getting rez off is already great value, but by round 3 she becomes stronger Juno ult for doing it and she can battle Mercy at the same time. I’d either A: reduce the duration of renaissance valk to 4 seconds, or B: not let crepescular healing make ult charge. It feeds into itself too well.

I have seen her chasing and eliminating the enemy DPS. I think some of you who think she is weak may want to try to pull out your guns as well.

But I do agree that Juno is too strong and needs a nerf.
