First their interactions - gone for good.
Now her mission journal - she talks just about Pharah.
I find it odd… I don´t really care about ships that much, but when she says “how after a decade, it´s good to see Pharah again”, while Genji is not mentioned at all, it´s weird (and they meet there too).
I just like a good writing and they were better at this in past.
Edit: To make it clear: there was an interaction between Mercy and Genji, how they used to spend hours talking every night, cause they were both “night owls”.
Now they meet again at the base and all she talks about is just Pharah. I find it odd.

It didn’t get deleted, it’s getting clarified. People were unsure whether they were dating or just friends but now we know for sure it’s purely platonic. As for Pharah, that’s still being hashed out so idk why people are jumping to conclusions.

that’s not necessarily a deletion of anything, as others have said. it’s entirely possible that people were reading into interactions between mercy and genji a bit differently then how those characters canonically feel about each other.
it’s not as though blizzard is retconning anything; all her interactions with genji are still as they were. it’s moreso that mercy clearly cares about pharah more than she does genji.
whether or not that’s platonic or romantic is yet to be seen though

I am not aware of conclusions what people make. I am more thinking about their old interaction, that says how they used to spend hours of talking during nights at base, as they were both night owls. Maybe I should clarify that in my post.
Now they meet at base again and all she talks about is Phara. There is zero mentioning of Genji. I find it odd.

Pharmercy ship is disgusting and I will hear no objections about it. Both aesthetically and story wise.
She knew Pharah when she was a baby. Thats probably ehy she says that line. I dont think theyre gonna make that creepy ship real

Stop hanging your weird prejudices on such things. The interactions arent even cannon. The devs said several times that its fanfic. Kind of what they might have possibly said to each other if they had met. Why would Ana have anything to do with junkrat otherwise.
They are only 5 years apart no way mercy saw pharah as baby unless she was in ow at 5 yrs old

You must not have been here some years ago when the lead story writer pretty much hinted at making gency a thing. The backlash from that part of the community was incredible.

I was here and I was part of the backlash. I hate gengu and their chemistry seemed very manufactured and more like puppy love from his point of view over her saving him at best. I guess what Im saying is that mercy can do better.

She was not baby, but she was definetly a minor when they met. Not ideal, really…
So you know the prejudice from the community that you were part of.
It was the first time I realized how crazy and toxic people can get over “ships.”

What prejudice. People not liking a ship is not prejudice. It was bad writing. Nobody wants to hang genji mains
Thanks for the clarification OP. While I haven’t heard it in-game (so possibly loss on conntext there), to me it sounds like it’s possible the devs are just spreading out the interactions. Like, if all Mercy talked about was Genji that would be kinda weird even if they were a couple. I wouldn’t be surprised if the devs are trying to spark some interest throwing hints in all kinds of directions, it’s an easy way to get people talking about anything that isn’t the state of the game.
So if you like the ship have fun with the tidbit, I don’t think this or previous interactions with Genji confirms one way or another if she’s interested in either one of them.

There age difference is pretty common (5 years). Age differences can get significantly more severe than these two. You can hate the ship all you want, but age isn’t a valid reason for hating on it, its a stretch at best.
