Mercy Buffs incoming

So by now we should all realise that there is a pattern with the mythics. They like to buff the mythic hero of that season to make sure theyre strong, and seen in more games to tempt more players to buy the BP.

It might not happen this time. With the Mythic shop coming. But I’d wager it still will, they still want to coerce the BP sales. Especially since Mercy is kind of mid compared to most other supports and is waiting for some changes.

What are your expectations or hopes with a Mercy buff for S10?

Movement buffs? Healing buffs? Damage buffs? Semi reworks?

Also wouldnt be surprised to see buffs to heroes she pockets best. And nerfs to heroes who she struggles against most. But thats reaching a bit.

I am not going to be interested in Mercy until they take my idea that I have been promoting since 2016 seriously… Give Mercy a Desert Eagle. That’s the buff she needs. I bet even AKJ would enjoy playing Mercy under these conditions.

Yay, another thread taken over by trickster trying to boss around what people find fun about mercy…

All she needs is a +5 to healing.

But i think the only buffs and changes we will see to her are in the limited time gamemode that we saw snapshots of in the season trailer.

Now if we go to what i want mercy changes to be…
Shorten the weapon swap time further, either more bullets or +10 dmg per projectile. Make her dangerous to dive again.
I’m done with her being a damsel in distress, let her effectively fight back.

Honestly i think increasing her lethality would be fine, good even. Just not to the point that shes a must pick because of it. Because it wiuld need to still be an optional playstyle for her.

As you say, she is dead in the water if on her own. I think even a projectile speed increase would be huge, but that may have to be balanced with projectile hitbox shrinkage.

I wonder if the devs were guaging player response from the april fools patch. And that may be one potential rework idea they had for her. Because low key that patch was a step in a good direction for her kit imo. I just dont think they found a good balance for it. And completely removing damage beam without replacing it for another utility i think is not the way.

Perhaps a key bind could toggle between heal beam and dmg beam, or tapping left click again cycles between the beams. Maybe another utlity like dmg resistance if her being able to shoot while dmg boosting is too much of an issue, Meanwhile she can still shoot from her staff. And using quick melee shouldnt break the beam.

They could even scrap all those ifeas, when shes healing someone a quick melee could boop enemy, when shes dmg boosting someone a quick melee could slow the enemy. With a 3 second cooldown on the ability attached to quick melee with staff. Could introduce and promote a more active flyby playstyle.

So five more bullets?

I feel like if they make her hyper mobile again theyd ha e to add some drawback. Like, the faster you travel, the less you heal and dmg boost.

But then that would promote her boring playstyle more where its best to stay behind walls out of sight.

Thats a tough one. Maybe the faster she travels, the larger her wings get? So shes not as difficult to hit?
